True. Until the sales drop due to rejection of its higher price, the apple products will continue to be expensive

I doubt this will happen anytime soon though. Apple fans are a bunch of loyal blokes, even if it means blind loyalty!

Oh yeah, finally a keyboard that is usable for mobile devices running THREE different operating systems. Thank you, Microsoft! rclxms.gif

But when will that Microsoft Universal Foldable Keyboard be available on Malaysian or Singaporean shores? Thinking of getting it, if the price is right! hmm.gif

According to the article only available in US from July onwards at about US$100... So I'm not putting too much hope in getting it, ha ha...

Seems like some Android vs iOS stuffs have been creeping up again in our thread here, hehe. Makes for interesting reading.

Anyway my thoughts are all the high end phones will perform adequately and get the job done. You get what you pay for. My issue with the high end Android flagship phones is the resale value... You buy the phone for RM2499 or so and less than a month into it you can get it for 2,299. Give it another month, and it's special promotion time, 1,999. When you do decide to sell your phone after a year, you'll be lucky to get half of what you paid for when you bought it. I'm not sure if that is just a Malaysian problem but either way, it bugs me coz I like to change phones (much to my wife's disapproval).

As for the Chinese wannabes, they are definitely getting there but it is not just the build quality and specs that are getting there, their price is getting there too. When I first saw the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro's recommended retail price, I was like "Who do you think you are, Samsung? Sony?"

As for ecosystem, true, you get more control and customization with Android, but some of us are not into those things. We just need the phone to work, without having to occasionally go to task killers and check wake locks to figure out what is causing battery drain - Sigh, my 6 Plus has spoiled me...

End of the day, people should just buy whatever phones they like and enjoy them. End of story smile.gif

I know a few phone user (I myself included) are changing phone every time one flagship out in market, so no doubt Apple resale value is much higher than Android's.
*
Guilty as charged. I have two phones, one main and one backup. The main one I tend to change it once a year, the backup one I change it every few months or so to try something new. It's a ridiculous waste of money, but since I can't afford to change cars like that...

QUOTE(666devil @ Mar 4 2015, 01:34 PM)
Anyone here mentioned iOS is perfect? I will give them a good spanking if they do. I am from Galaxy 3 and 4 user. Here is my take:
1) Command center so much room for improvement. I miss toggling off my location when not in used. Then again, I never toggle off anymore bcoz iOS obeys their own settings, unlike android leak battery here leak data there. Always have to go app and data manager to disable.
2) camera is the best and fastest focus I have used. Really point and shoot. Good riddance with S4 camera, regardless of its 16MP. Cannot focus properly, what's the point?
3) battery in 6+ is God send. No more leaks.
4) the share links to other apps feature sucks!!!missed android's sharing here.
5) replaceable battery and sdcard is no longer relevant. Sammy took both away in s6
7) love the global updates released! Android? Unless u using nexus, wait until 6 months also no news. U r lucky if manufacture company still decide to update os after 1 yrs.
8) greater and cheaper , higher quality apps in App Store! Together with family sharing, I am now even buying albums to share with family members.
9) very minimal configuration compared to android. But it's a good point for me. Less headache to support for corporate company. If don't like, just JB.
10) lag? Don't feel it anymore after 8.1.3. In 8.1.2 still lag. Sammy in the other hand so full of bloat wares that leak processing cycle that it lags.
11) notification? Just select the banner where it will only pop up as a status bar on top screen. For me, I turn off most notification except whatsapp.
12) security? I definitely trust iOS more than android due to junk ware and too little updates too late. U try post a security breach in he news and see how fast Apple come out with patch. Android reported security flaws like go into black hole.

I can go on and on. But as u can see, iOS also has many cons over android. No os is perfect. Just which one has more advantage over the other.
*
All good points thumbup.gif

I'll also add that with the continuity feature in iOS 8, I sometimes answer my phone calls and reply to SMS messages using my iPad, which is really convenient as sometimes my phone is in the room and I'd be browsing my iPad downstairs in the living room. Pretty cool smile.gif

A pity Whatsapp doesn't support this...

force touch..wonder how apple will market this features..
seems every year apple will launch a new iPhone..
anybody follow the trend? meaning straight away buy new iphone once they out?
*
I skipped the "S" versions, i.e. 4S, 5S, so my upgrade cycle is once in two years.

Also the article started by saying it's been 6 months since the phone was launched - some of us here just got it a month or two ago!

More RAM is OK if the power management is as efficient as it is now.

Well, I was using an iPod touch all this while, accompanied by two prior Samsung phones. But since I dropped Samsung for the iPhone 5, I have also changed it to the iPhone 6, with no plans to upgrade for now as the 6 has what I want thus far - great camera, nice screen size, perfect in pocket! rclxms.gif
*
I went from iPhone 4 to 5, then had a one year affair with Android (Note 3) and have now returned to iOS. The thing that got me to switch was bigger screen and bigger battery. 6 Plus solved both issues so now I'm a happy camper.

Oh, and speaking about iPods, I upgraded my 5th gen iPod Touch to iOS 8 and it's really laggy now, ha ha...

I don't see it on mine so it's probably not normal. Yes, do go back to the shop to check.

same as me  thumbup.gif  there is no surprise on the S version. always same design as the non-S version
*
The best S version was the 5S, coz it had the fingerprint sensor. At first I thought it was just another gimmick, but I found using it on my 6 Plus now is such a great convenience. smile.gif

Hi guys, anyone who got a problem with the Touch ID? Just today, my Touch ID is not working all of the sudden.I am sure I did not spill any water onto it. Anyone claim warranty before from DiGi as my set I got it from there. I tried restarting the phone and but it seems not to be helping as my Touch ID setting could not turn pass thru the set up process.
*
Have you tried backing up the phone and doing a reset? If it still doesn't work after a reset then maybe it's time to head down to DiGi.
