what you guys think about this position? i search for wiki.. know it needs to monitor every processes in the company(COO)..
and i was told that.. this position need to do every things like insurance, staff problem, cash management, and etc in a branch.. means whatever things in the bank.. it's your responsibility...
so it could be a stressful job..
but.. how you guys think about that(a position in branch, not hq)? a good position for who wants to build his career in banking and finance?? in commercial line..
Generally, what is Operation Officer functions in a branch? They will be the one who is responsible for overriding should there's any transactions conducted by the tellers that need higher authority. Operation Officer does not need to focus on sales as its not his/her main job, however, cross selling is an option for them to increase their own marketibility to the bank.
Operation Officers will go under Operation Manager and every operation stuffs will fall onto Operation officers. Such as checking the outstation cheque, cash cheque and etc. Contacting consumers to authentic the transaction.
Operation and Sales site are segregated. The sales part will be done by the Personal Financial Consultants as their main core job will be sales.
Anyway, this is a routine job. So, if you prefer to stay in the office while doing documentation job, then this is your cup of tea. However, if you would willing to go out, know more people, build wider network, then you should turn down the offer.
