Anyway, this article are too general.
Cannot conceive easily can due to many reasons.
Best is couple do a medical checkup and see how it goes.

TS asked for advices here, so I'm just sharing this article that I came across. If she wanted to see a specialist she wouldn't be here in the first place.

In your earlier post you mentioned this:-

"Change your lifestyle.
Skip rubbish food, chemical coffees, do regular (s)exercise.
Looking for specialist may help, but not always the case.
You must first ensure your period come every month, it will be much more easier to get pregnant.
If not, you and your husband have to work harder at night regularly."

The success rate of IVF is below 50% so TS may not want to consult the specialist before trying to conceive naturally. The daughter of my ex-boss had irregular period too but managed to have 2 kids. TS needs to know when is her fertile period and thus the best time for coupling.

Actually to know whether a woman is fertile or not, can be known by body. Like during the best time period, that part will be wet compare other time.
Doing a check up(man for sperm quantity and quality, woman for ovulation)will be the best to know who got problem. Then solve from there.
Asking such general question(like TS) will lead to general answers. But still, maintaining healthy lifestyle still the best way.

Of course the best is to consult a specialist but it is very pricey. The gynae specialised in fertility at Lam Wah Ee Hospital is my long time friend and his fees kept increasing. Some of his patients got lucky only on the 3rd try. So TS may not want to 'risk' losing her hard-earned money before trying to conceive naturally. She could try based on general advices from friends and relatives. Some men may not be receptive of the idea of going for a sperm count; so TS has to exhaust all avenues available to her before proposing that her husband goes for it.

A friend of mine had this problem. All along everyone pointed a finger at her but when it was proven that the fault was her husband's it became 'her' problem all over again. He couldn't accept the fact that he was not a 'man' and she had to console him. tongue.gif

Infertility or failure to conceive is not based on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. If this is the main factor then there would be very low birth rates in the poorer parts of Africa, China, India, etc. tongue.gif

Yes, when a woman ovulates she will secrete. This is the best time to conceive. blush.gif

Anyway, TS just got married not too long ago and time is on her side. smile.gif

24 is so young - that is like the peak of fertility ! so there is really nothing to worry about for now

and u hv only been trying for 9 mths. and i am assuming your trying means you try on days when you are fertile ? if not, ie you hv been trying on days that you are unsure if you are fertile or not, then there is a possibility that its just bad timing. Buy ovulation sticks and track your fertile days and do it for 6 mths. if still nothing, maybe get your hubby to check his sperms too.

also maybe get a 2nd opinion from another gynae. there must be a cause to irreggular periods. Most of the time, PCOS, a condition that lowers fertility.

its also good to take note of the following :
lifestyle (exercise / sleeping regular hours and have enough sleep / drink sufficient water / eating at regular time etc)
diets ( balanced diet / less meat more veg and fruits / eat organic / if need be take some supplements that boost fertility / cut off caffeine and definitely no contraceptives / ensure that you have regular daily bowel movement to eliminate toxins from body/ try to consume alkalizing food/drinks like lemon water and apple cider vinegar )
exposure to chemicals/ toxins ( try to eat organic , use lower PH shampoo and body shampoo and cleaning detergent)

hope this helps !

if your period is irregular then it may be a bit difficult to count then you're fertile and etc.... has it always been that way?

try taking pat chan / pak fung yuen which will help strengthen the female body and regulates your period smile.gif

most important thing... enjoy the process. don't let the stress take a toll on your relationship.

Hi princess D,

Have you seen a doc? A G&O? what has he/she said? irregular period cycle can be due to various factors such as age, hormone imbalance, illness etc. If you are diagnosed with PCOS...then ovarian drilling may help. Check with the doctor first.

hi..
my wife also has same problem previously, been married for 3 1/2 yrs now.
she just go for GH and scan shows ovarian cyst, that might causing delay in period. GH gave 3 months hormon fixer medicine to take, and after that her perios comes every 28-29 days. normal cycle.

and just got news, that she's 6 weeks pregnant for now..

keep trying... irregular period time will make pregnancy difficult. correct that first..

Well it depends on the hospital and doctor you engage. You may try @ Pantai Bangsar or Metro Klang.

I have been taking Fish Oil, Centrum Multivitamin, Shaklee GLA & Folic Acid strictly everyday. I divide them into 2 session after breakfast and after lunch. I have severe cramps during my period and after 3 months of consuming Shaklee GLA & Folic Acid daily, i notice tremendous reduction in my cramps. I have very regular period cycle of 27-29 days. The Fish Oil & Centrum was added part of my daily supplyment after being adviced by KLFC doc.

Beside science & health, try forget about the expectation of having sex just to conceive. Do it naturally & have lots of fun during the process. Ya, sometimes sex trip kinda helpful too.

At least it works for me after 7mths. Good luck!
