#1 colour faded out #2 the pic is -1EV under exposed. you need to bounce the flash to get correct exposure #3 & #5 there are some dust on your CCD already...and not sure what you are capturing #4 again, you need to bounce the flash to get correct exposure...try different angle #6 pic is OOF

your sunrise pics.. it's like in the middle.. not enough details in the sky or the buildings. u either underexpose the shot till u get good details of the sky or vice versa(i.e,u wont see the sun anymore) or u could could take both n photoshop it.

I thought the best way to see it is thru histogram. If its distributed equally its CONSIDERED (not all situation) is consider well exposed, if the histogram is on the left side, its underexposed, while to the right its overexposed??

If its distributed equally its CONSIDERED (not all situation) is consider well exposed, if the histogram is on the left side, its underexposed, while to the right its overexposed?? Yup, correct. But histogram only give you the overall result of the picture. You can still have an overexpose spot while maintain good histogram. Have to utilize both to analyze the picture. A good histogram would be more evenly distribute in the centre, neither too left nor too right. [Edit] minde, read up your manual on the M mode. There should be an exposure indicator. QUOTE(minde @ Oct 26 2006, 08:14 PM) Hi , i need some advice . I set my shutter speed to 5sec at 100iso . Now u see its blur bcos of the shutterspeed. Any suggesttions the for setting to make it sharper but at night without maxing the ISO till 1600 (noisy) . but still get the klcc to be sharper? Generally, when you mount a camera onto a tripod, no matter how many seconds you open up the shutter, it should not shake anymore, but I've heard of these circumstances : 1. Shake when shutter release - Happens when you mount a SLR to a cheap tripod. 2. Thunder - It'll shake anything, let alone a mounted SLR. 3. Camera not fasten properly onto tripod - The mounting head, neck or legs are loose.

How do u take those panning shots? I noticed they're all taken at 1/20s. Is this how u do it?
Follow the subject, click while still moving the camera to keep up with the subject? I gotta try it sometime soon.

in PS, try to increase the contrast of the photo, that should get rid of some of the blurriness, then, maybe add a little bit of soft-focus effect. If you decide to try, let us know the result.

QUOTE(minde @ Jan 21 2007, 06:35 PM) Got ... You mentioned that your trip was sponsored by Nikon and shooting under the Malaysia @ 50 Photo Competition? Which image that you have posted here depicts Malaysia as a country that has been liberalized by independance and currently celebrating its 50th anniversary? So far I've only seen group photos, fishermen, smelly fishes and dried prawns ... Are you posting the photos for the competition or just the out-takes? those that im going to submit to the competition or are near there are not posted online due to safety reasons. However , the main reason i post this pictures is i need some comment on the exposure or composition . Take these picture as Open Theme pictures. Take and Shoot.
P/S: Will post more pictures when i come back from London. Pls take the picture that i take as Student Photography and not Pro Photography as the Malaysia@50 is open to any age group . We're still learning how to take a good picture , so u musnt take this as a professional point of view.
