if we design ourselves using 3D software, and then show to you/contractor, will they able to carry out the job as per design? will it result in cheaper price since they can't charge high consultation fee?

Hi all,

I recently got the Ikea Finnvard as an idea to convert it into a support leg for my glass dining top.

I'm looking to revarnish it into a darker walnut shade, is there any wood work shops around that teaches me how to do that?
