My car is 2 years old, heavy dashboard & steering wheel vibrations during cold start. I complained to the SC and told them to change the engine mounts, but have to wait for parts order. Funnily though after warm up the vibrations almost totally disappears. But never experienced vibrations on car seat though. Original mountings, mileage now at 40000km.

My preve got warranty claim for 2 engine mounting from Suprima a year ago.

40K KM later, i can felt vibration start creeping back. Can felt vibration abit on car seat, door, steering.

So far has anyone here claim the mounting twice ?

The seat i have claim it once also, took me 3 months to wait and the new seat arrive with a abrasion spot at the back above the front seat pocket, i am piss but i dont care anymore.

I need a new engine mounting again. I miss the feeling when i first started the car with the suprima mounting.

Seat i am going to replace again before the end of the warranty, bcz when it ends we dont really have a way with it anymore.

I think it gonna be endless if u keep claiming. Why not trying to spray some wd40 or any silicon spray to stop the sound?

I use to spray metal bracket behind of the seat to stop the damn noise after my new claim of seat. Now no more issue for front seat. Just rear got very poor appearance which need to claim in the next service. After your warrany end, replace with leather seat better.

It is part of a recall for us guys who bought the earlier model, for certain models before 2014 if memory serve me right. My SN start from 12xxx smtg bought at 2012. From 2014 or smtg u guys got the new mounting straight from factory.

I believe there is a picture of comparison between the new and old mounting circulating around here, and also Prevoc. If your Preve comes with the new design from factory, they wont change it for you.

The DIY method didnt do much justice to me.

New type or old, it is unacceptable if the damn thing start to vibrate until i can feel it on my seat, door, dashboard, (steering wheel can see it vibrating during cold start) in the duration of 40k KM. Not to mention the vibration also amplify the usual rattling spot in my car.

after i changed my engine mounting, day and night different when i start the car.. omg so different, there is no vibration at all when the car is idle.. feel like the car wanna stall. i had been driving it with so much vibration since day 1. now even high speed cruising or when u step on pedal, the car doesnt vibrate much like before.. the engine is much quieter at cruising at 100km/h that u start to hear more wind noise and road noise lol..

May i know how much for the new mount?

Syntium 3000 is still in production. It is Syntium 5000 that has stopped production, replaced by Syntium 7000.

Service cost is high, almost similar to continental vehicles. May I ask the breakdown of the RM1200 servicing cost, where does the bulk of the money go to. And also whether your car is still within the 3 years/60,000km warranty. Thanks.

Not too sure about the last two charges whether they are additional (extra) services which may be omitted.

Like to have some feedback from those using Mach 5 or Synthium 800 for Preve turbo.

Why?

I am thinking of changing from Synthium 1000 to either Mach 5 or Synthium 800. Main reason is, my car mileage and speed are rather low. Only 10,800 km after 10 months and my highest speed is only 90 kph. Average speed is only 25 kph.

A bit curious on the claimed vibration of the car. Maybe your car has hit a very high mileage at almost 80,000km now, and that may explain that the engine mountings are worn and need replacement.

The mileage on my car is now at around 32,000km and there is no vibration issue. Only the (loud) droning sound from the CVT during acceleration that I experience with the car but I have learnt to live with that.

Just got my Fire Red Preve Exec CVT 3 days ago. I was surprised that my car got 6 airbags eventhough it is the Exec model and not the Premium. In the brochure it stated only 2 airbags. Proton need to update their brochure then.

Have 1 question to ask, when I was cruising at 90km/h on a straight highway, and putting only 1 finger at the steering wheel, I realized there was a slight vibration on the steering wheel. The car only clocked 224km on the odometer. Is this normal? Will it disappear after 1000km service?
