DIY yourself. Adjust the knobs/bumper/stopper located at the front (left/right) till it stops beeping each time you go past a road bump.

It was always a good car. Just that some people blindly choose to say otherwise.

Change wire harness already?

+2

Don't wait till Raya. Just drop by any SC. Your chassis should be in the recall list. Wire harness replacement requires 2 hours.

This wire harness actually effecting what?

Have you noticed that Preve's radiator fan is quite powerful? It draws a large current and over time this causes fan's connector to overheat and melt. So when connector breaks down, fan no longer turns and your engine overheats.

New harness supposedly made with heat tolerant material.

To replace the harness, they will dismantle your bumper. After re-installing, it would be prudent do a visual check to see if each bolt is tightened properly.

It's best that the harness gets replaced before car gets stranded at roadside. I suspect that would be quite a stressful experience. Prevention always better than cure smile.gif

I'm pretty tired of the cvt whine and the overall nvh in the car.

Did mine here but it's in KL. Using STP Bomb and very thick MLV sound barrier at the bottom of the front firewall. Can reduce the whine by quite some margin but there's no way to totally eliminate it.

I am guessing the only way to totally eliminate the whine is to attack it at the source. Get jacket/blanket to cover the entire gearbox assy. Haven't tried that yet. Looks a bit like this > https://www.designengineering.com//category...urbo-shield-kit

What other noise do you have? Car is generally quite well padded.

As an aside, all CVTs whine. Can be Honda, Toyota or Nissan. They all whine

Changing the stock tyres should eliminate some noises as well biggrin.gif

Over inflated tyres or replacing with thicker ARBs will also add to the NVH.

Note of advise regarding ARBs. Body roll resistance improves. Straight line stability also better due to less wobbling. Downside is that you have sacrifice some comfort. Also don't skimp when purchasing tyres. Thicker ARBs will require better traction from tyres. If NVH is top priority, dont change ARBs.

To add:

Also find overall the car feels more solid and more weighted.

Is your car a CFE?

Besides the door, what else did they do to the car? I did ...

* Bonnet
* Engine Cover
* Trunk lid
* Autofoam undercarriage, ABC pillars
* Front firewall
* Front floor
* Wiper motor housing

CVT non CFE

Older non-turbo units are known to be a bit noisy. They refer to it as the Campro roar.

There's a mod for it to be done on the air filter box. Have you done that yet?

CVT whine noise also reduce but not much

* Front firewall
* Front floor
* Wiper motor housing

Doing the above will further mute the whine to quite a faint level.

But I suggest you do them later. Nice to spend some time driving and appreciating the current additions; enjoy what you just paid for.

When later if you feel tak boleh tahan the whine, then only do those. Always better to do in staggered stages to better appreciate what you are getting. Prolong that 'feel good' factor.
