QUOTE(judge-the @ Mar 15 2015, 12:08 PM) New seats, at least that's the case for me. I had to get my driver seat changed and I was present during the installation. Still wrapped in original packaging with 'factory smell' |

QUOTE(Blackscreamerz @ Mar 22 2015, 10:57 PM) Will be getting my new Preve tomorrow. 1.6 turbo premium version. Fiery red. Congratulations in advance. The list of things to check is on the first post.Anything particular i need to check when receive the car tomorrow? Usually there's no paint job problem with Proton cars, but just inspect once so as not to regret later. Oh, make sure the GPS and navigation is working. There are SA who take away the SD card containing maps and say you need to purchase it |

QUOTE(nelsonmui87 @ Mar 25 2015, 11:11 AM) Wanna ask is boot spring good to our boot? What do you mean by 'good'? It's just a simple spring to pop open the trunk, either you fine it useful or not is up to you. I myself use one spring and after 7-8 months now, it starts to lose the elasticity now.https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2552722/all Anyone install before? QUOTE(LalaluSan @ Mar 25 2015, 11:09 AM) Hi guys/girls , just got my preve 2 days back Just wondering, do you all face a problem where the power window controller feels like it about to come out as soon as u wind the driver side window up to the max? My power window controller is a little bit poke up (obvious feeling when winding the window up), is this normal? QUOTE(nelsonmui87 @ Mar 25 2015, 11:15 AM) Mine also having the same issue, just feel a little bit pop up. It is the quality of the door panel, it's kind of flimsy compared to other cars in the segment. Nothing to be concerned about, have been having that since day one.So far (half year already) still ok... would like to know if any solution for this also. |

QUOTE(LalaluSan @ Mar 25 2015, 01:52 PM) QUOTE(far1470 @ Mar 25 2015, 02:22 PM) Nah it won't, it's just that the panel is not thick enough and you could feel the rotor arm behind the panelQUOTE(nelsonmui87 @ Mar 25 2015, 03:15 PM) Erm... my worry is will the spring damage the boot lock. No it won't damage the boot. I set it to open only 7-8 inches (not all the way open).Wonder will use 2 spring together will last longer. 7 months is quite fast. hehe the door panel issue actually quite ok for me, since everyone having same problem then just left it there. Enjoyed enough to drive Preve. Waiting Proton to launch face lift or other C or D segment car for 2nd car. |

QUOTE(kindaichi_hajime @ Apr 1 2015, 09:19 AM) bro, its your left rear seat. try to 'play' drop down with your left rear seat. Me too got the same 'krak krak' before, but completely disappear. Yes that's the way I did to mine when I first got the car. The noise was ominously sounded like something not being fitted in place, and a good 'humping' would do the job, and it did. |

QUOTE(TheSecRet @ Apr 13 2015, 06:34 PM) I have both Preve and City, let me try to give unbiased views.City - refined driving, quieter ride, good QC, no trivial issues like weird rattling or noise. Preve - superb driving, handling, spacious and as you may already know, top notch safety. But, there are noises popping up here and there, but they all can be fixed at SC. So, pick your poison. If I want a functional driving within the suburb, I would take the City. But for sheer pleasure and long drive, the Preve wins without any question |

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Apr 17 2015, 09:07 PM) It is confirmed that Petronas fuel is causing knocking sound from the engine on my Preve Turbo with a slight loss in power. I would love to be more patriotic to support Petronas, but it's as just you said, the loss of acceleration power is noticeable. I've been using BHP ever since I'd done testing different fuel, good balance between power and mileage.I have been using Caltex throughout the whole year now, occasionally Shell if I happen to run out of fuel and Caltex station is not nearby. No knocking sound and acceleration power is good. Just earlier this week the car was running out of fuel and I decided to give Petronas a try although I knew I had bad experience before and vowed never to use Petronas Primax again. But somehow I wanted to test if it's really the fuel. At first, there seemed to be no difference. But after half tank, I began to notice the knocking sound coupled by a slight loss of acceleration power. The engine also sounded a bit rough, not as smooth. Did any of you guys use Petronas Primax, especially Preve Turbo owners. I would like to know your experience. After having this repeated experience, I will surely ban Petronas for good now. My other car, the Ford Focus does not seem to have problem with Petronas (no engine knocking sound) but I chose to use Caltex for all my cars. |

QUOTE(judge-the @ Apr 22 2015, 06:01 AM) exec owner here There's almost no difference in maintaining CFE or exec.sorry no offense everyone, just my personal point of view. if you are doing sales driving around short distance and full city driving, i'm afraid preve not the right choice for you due to its FC. unless you are doing long distance traveling on the highway then it will be a very enjoyable ride. however i do feel regret a bit not getting premium cfe last year. but again the maintenance cost for premium cfe also not cheap |

QUOTE(vikneswaranc_17 @ Apr 26 2015, 06:06 PM) I made an easy access by taking off the power steering fluid reservoir.. Still, abit hard.. In the end, went to a nearby car accessories shop, looked for the skinniest-handed guy there and asked him to change, he did both bulbs in less than a few minutes Anyway, just a question.. Since i rarely use my car, only done like 3-4K KM for the last 6 months, is it ok if u just dump in the semi synthetic engine oil with service interval of 6 months? I know proton suggest mineral oil for 10K KM interval. Anyone here doing that? Should be no problem, by right synthetic can last as long as fully. |
