noob question here
is there a way to rewire the Preve Auto fold mirror to make it like Suprima S?
when locking (fold in), unlocking (fold out)
instead drive at least 10-20km/h to fold out.

QUOTE(xtremesportx @ Mar 2 2015, 08:41 AM) If I were you I'll just top up a little more and get a city, a 2nd hand inspira or forte which is cheaper. why didn't you do sound proofing? (i'm planning for it) Having own the preve cvt for 2 years I have to say I regretted my purchase and shud have bought something else. It was the worst car I'd driven and had the most number of issue. I don't wish to elaborate as the lists are just too long. I test driven the turbo before and the growl is louder than the cvt. So if you're someone into quiet car pls stay away from preve and get the persona instead. I find persona has better nvh and engine is more responsive. Forte is still best in class in terms of quietness, engine responsiveness and overall comfort and maintenance in this segment. Otherwise you can always go for Vios or City. i've been driving preve Turbo for 4 months already the minor problem still have is the brake Helicopter sound, planning to check again with SC so far,i like the Preve tho can Rev2 with other foreign car. plus in term of safety, preve have a lot to offer. city and vios are overprice car. |

If you wish to activate the DRL like what suprima S have, u might pay to Drex certain amount. RM300 or less to work it out.~ Void or not is all depend on SC. U can walk in to any SC for normal service. no issue~ He can tweak the preve follow-me-light to suprima S drl style Can he also tweak the side mirror too? |

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Mar 31 2015, 01:49 PM) FWIW I had tested the Preve Turbo on LEKAS highway where is a steep road just before the Seremban toll. With the Preve Turbo, the speed is stagnant at about 160km/h and wont' go higher even if I had fully stepped on the accelerator. The speed just maintained at 160km/h on the long stretch of slope. With the Ford Focus, on the same stretch of road the speed continued to climb from 160km/h up to 190km/h. I did manage to get 210km/h for a few seconds on MEX highwayMy gear (S) with using pedal shifter -Preve Turbo- |

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Apr 20 2015, 02:01 PM) For those who are using Petronas fuel on the Preve Turbo, do you hear the engine knocking when the car is accelerating, particularly if going up a slightly inclined slope? Try to hear some clicking sound from the engine when the car is accelerating. The sound is not very loud, but it should be noticeable. so far been driving RON97 petronas on My Preve Turboi didnt notice any knocking@clicking throughout my driving the only time i hear those things is when im braking.(helicopter sound |

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Apr 21 2015, 06:30 PM) Thanks for the information. Is your car the Preve Turbo of the low-spec Preve? Now I know there are 2 more Preve users that have this same engine knocking issue other than me. Too bad you have this sound with all RON95 fuel. I only have this with Petronas. With Caltex fuel, there is negligible to zero knocking on the car. So what about Petron and Shell fuel?Is it the same? I've been using RON97 petronas since I bought the car plus im close with Petron Shell and Petronas. |

guys,
wanna ask. have any of you guys encounter situation whereby the Preve front lower bumper always hit the ground during at the road bumps, certain depth of pot-hole or even steep inclination at certain parking garage? bcoz when i drove Almera, even at 20-40kmh at the bumps,it still okay, the front didnt scratch or hit the ground where as in Preve case, most of the time especially during tall/thick/thin road bumps. |

QUOTE(mengsuan @ May 31 2015, 02:59 AM) Yes, it is a common thing that I have to go over ramps with totally stopped speed, otherwise I'll hit the bumper. Mine is a LE, it has bodykit that I've seen some people rip it off because they didn't know they had to slow down on their frequently accessed road/ramp. i drove my car on highway usually,I once posted my review, there's nothing wrong with my car, only the practicality in town. Ride height is relatively low, added with long overhang, it is a highway cruiser, not a day-to-day car. it just my housing area there is a lot of different shape of road bumps and pot-hole. i wanna cry every time the front lower bumper hit the ground and i've seen scratches underneath. sigh~~ |

QUOTE(winners8 @ Jul 2 2015, 07:30 PM) My PREVE (turbo) sometimes takes a longer cranking to get started, especially the first start in the morning. Usually after pressing the START/STOP button, engine will crank for about 1 second and got started. However, lately, it seems that the cranking will drag on for 2 seconds or more for the very first starting in the morning. Any PREVE owners here have this issue? Can share your experience if it's normal? I also have this problem sometimeI've read in the forum that those pioneer batch (2012) of PREVEs do have this problem, and I thought it should be resolved by now, 2015, no? For me,it doesnt matter whether cold start or normal E.g: morning ignition okay, then evening ignition.. The cranking took longer.. |
