If I were you I'll just top up a little more and get a city, a 2nd hand inspira or forte which is cheaper.

Having own the preve cvt for 2 years I have to say I regretted my purchase and shud have bought something else.

It was the worst car I'd driven and had the most number of issue. I don't wish to elaborate as the lists are just too long.

I test driven the turbo before and the growl is louder than the cvt.

So if you're someone into quiet car pls stay away from preve and get the persona instead.

I find persona has better nvh and engine is more responsive.

Forte is still best in class in terms of quietness, engine responsiveness and overall comfort and maintenance in this segment.

Otherwise you can always go for Vios or City.

FWIW I had tested the Preve Turbo on LEKAS highway where is a steep road just before the Seremban toll. With the Preve Turbo, the speed is stagnant at about 160km/h and wont' go higher even if I had fully stepped on the accelerator. The speed just maintained at 160km/h on the long stretch of slope. With the Ford Focus, on the same stretch of road the speed continued to climb from 160km/h up to 190km/h.

Is it me or the cornering of preve is just so-so? Macam my old saga blm je.

For those who are using Petronas fuel on the Preve Turbo, do you hear the engine knocking when the car is accelerating, particularly if going up a slightly inclined slope? Try to hear some clicking sound from the engine when the car is accelerating. The sound is not very loud, but it should be noticeable.

Thanks for the information. Is your car the Preve Turbo of the low-spec Preve? Now I know there are 2 more Preve users that have this same engine knocking issue other than me. Too bad you have this sound with all RON95 fuel. I only have this with Petronas. With Caltex fuel, there is negligible to zero knocking on the car.

Its true that 140km/h ++ on the iafm+ variant sounds terrible, but does the turbo version too sound this bad? 

Yes, it is a common thing that I have to go over ramps with totally stopped speed, otherwise I'll hit the bumper. Mine is a LE, it has bodykit that I've seen some people rip it off because they didn't know they had to slow down on their frequently accessed road/ramp.

I once posted my review, there's nothing wrong with my car, only the practicality in town. Ride height is relatively low, added with long overhang, it is a highway cruiser, not a day-to-day car.

My PREVE (turbo) sometimes takes a longer cranking to get started, especially the first start in the morning.  Usually after pressing the START/STOP button, engine will crank for about 1 second and got started.  However, lately, it seems that the cranking will drag on for 2 seconds or more for the very first starting in the morning.  Any PREVE owners here have this issue?  Can share your experience if it's normal?

I've read in the forum that those pioneer batch (2012) of PREVEs do have this problem, and I thought it should be resolved by now, 2015, no?
