The GPS is good, only in the signal detection and locking. The maps however are outdated.

QUOTE(carbon14 @ Jan 9 2015, 05:29 PM) Hi guys, after much debate I chose Preve over Insapla. Since I'm buying 2nd hand, may I know if I go SC on appointment I ask them change I don't think the warranty extends to second hand buyer (correct me if I'm wrong). If they no longer cover the warranty, you should be able to find better service and price at workshop of your choice.1) EO + Filter 2) CVT oil + CVT Filter (Needed? Car almost 60k mileage) Will they entertain if I only want the service that I specify. Since it is not under warranty anymore. Or should I just go any workshop? Just to confirm: EO = xW20/30 Semi Syn, CVT = Use back plotong |

Yeah, within three years, please refrain from selling your stock rims and tyres
I've been thinking on 205/50/17 but the choices are severely scarce. Kinda hesitant to use Preve LE tyre profile. Btw what's Suprima stock profile? |

QUOTE(naz_omegan @ Jan 13 2015, 03:53 AM) sayang, preve is a good car but production is slow. look at iriz. people wait until cancel and changes mind to myvi And Preve is still riddled with fitting and finish problem If only Proton could improve on that since second or third batch, then this car would be perfect |

QUOTE(delsoo @ Jan 14 2015, 10:28 PM) Preve also has the system known as Follow Me Home Light. If you came back from work after it's dark, you would probably be fumbling to find your house key and opening the lock. It will auto-off after certain period of times, 2 minutes if I'm not mistaken. |

QUOTE(insaniah @ Jan 25 2015, 11:32 AM) In future, you'll see all outer body will use plastic part. But the body strength remain the same or better. That's what my MD told me. They have build it in japan. As long as the integrity and safety is parallel (of course, we wished it better), I don't mind at all. It will be cheaper to produce spare parts too. |

Guys, I'm feeling the stock battery will be giving out soon.
What's the difference between Century Ultramax, Marathoner and Road Master? |

QUOTE(alien9 @ Feb 4 2015, 09:16 PM) Hi guys. Quick question. My Preve is at 101XX KM atm. 2nd service after 1K KM is when ya? 10K or 11K? 11K also can right? First Service 1k, the next service depends on the oil you use during the first service. If you use semisyn oil, then the next service should be at 6k, if you use fullsyn oil then it will be at 11k.Or you can just look at the sticker on the windshield when the next service is due. |

QUOTE(alien9 @ Feb 5 2015, 09:17 AM) Thanks all for the reply I don't think there's any SC, no matter what car make and model that is very rigid on the mileage. My SA told me that in the service booklet, it is at 10K KM. Mine is almost past 10200 KM atm but he said that it still ok (means covered by Proton SC). Anyway, I'll just bring my car to service this weekend. BTW, Mutiara SC is still bad atm? How about Kelana Jaya SC? |

QUOTE(plumberly @ Feb 6 2015, 08:58 AM) SOS please for my Preve! Buy a car cover, less than RM30 at Tesco. For the past few weeks, getting bird droppings on my Preve even though it is parked under the house roof. Can understand if it is under a tree outside for the bird droppings. How can I stop or minimise the bird droppings landing on my car? How come more birds coming to my house? Heard that a bird nest business in a shop lot near my house has closed down. So ... Thanks. |

I know that sound behind the odometer, most likely it will go away by itself. At least it did in my case.

QUOTE(JJKTP @ Feb 12 2015, 12:45 AM) Glad to hear that. Well, I guess all these while I've been reading a lot of inaccurate info on this. Not really inaccurate. The quality of the oil now is undeniably better than the past twenty years.Semi-synthetic oil can go as far as 10k km, but common practice in the industry is to change them every 5k km. It is 'recommended' by most workshops and service centers QUOTE(theonlyvin @ Feb 12 2015, 01:48 AM) Is Viking really good? Indonesian? |

QUOTE(izputra @ Feb 15 2015, 08:27 AM) I think commercial reviews are to be taken with a pinch of salt. It's always the user reviews that tell the real stories, whether good or bad. |
