I dont see TVs quenching my thirst for a monster HD display for my games anymore. Opting a projector to do this. Anybody can share their experience and the best set up to really enjoy this?

I think that good image quality projectors cost a whole lot.

what are the common issues; ie the bulb's lifetime?

The bulbs are supposed to last a long time, I think the main issue is having enough space to get a good image and also buying an adauqate projection screen as that's important too since a white wall isn't good enough IMO
