Dell Inspiron 15-3531 is a notebook for everyday computing with very affordable price. The processor inside is Intel Celeron N2830, a dual-core processor based on Bay-Trail M microarchitecture. With base clock speed of 2.16 GHz, Intel Burst technology is ready to boost the speed up to 2.41 GHz. The cache is only 1 MB. 4 GB of DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz and 500 GB 5400 rpm Serial ATA HDD

You’ll find the most common display size and resolution for a budget laptop, 15.6-inch at HD resolution. The display uses Truelife technology which results to high contrast. The hinge is expected to survive even after opening and closing it 20,000 times.


The keyboard comes with full-size keys and 10-key numpad. It’s also spill-resistant and should be survive against liquid spills. A multi-touch gesture touchpad allows you to input various gesture functions such as scroll, zoom, rotate, and others. Dell has tested the keyboard to for 10 million keystrokes and the touchpad buttons for 1 million clicks wihtout failure.

Optical drive is not included. Only a few ports are available on Dell Inspiron 3531. Essential ports like a power connector and a headphone-output/microphone-input are
located on the left side. There are two USB 2.0 ports on the same side. Connect to an HDTV with an HDMI 1.4a port which is placed on the left side too. A 4-in-1 card reader is on the front center. It doesn’t have VGA and RJ-45. Therefore, you must utilize Dell Wireless 1506 1×1 802.11b/g/n to connect this notebook with local networks.

Sound coming from two speakers is enhanced by Waves MaxxAudio. Other features of this 15.6-inch Inspiron laptop include HD 720p web camera, 4-cell 40 WHr battery, and HD 720p web camera. It weighs 4.67 lb (2.12 kg) and measures at 25.3 mm (1-inch) at thickest point.
