Seems like after factory reset ... the battery seems improving ... more or less maybe can get 2 days with stock moto face and ambient off... set brightness at 3

mine with wrist gesture and watchmaker, from 8am leaving dock till 6pm return home watch still has at least 70% (daily basis) so even on a night out till 1pm my watch still has more than enough juice, my phone, well, drops faster battery

wrist gesture works for me most of the time, but sometimes need a couple more flips for it, i'm using auto brightness too, ambient off too

Wrist Gesture suppose to be flipping up and down the card. It work near perfect for me, of coz you must flip it 'correctly' for it to determine you're flipping up and flipping down, once you get hold of how the gesture work, it's flawless.

Brother, that one is another feature u need to enable.

"Wrist Gesture" is when your other arm is busy *ahem*, u can still scroll thru all the cards on your watch with just wrist rotate.

Not wearing also battery goes down, the most I could is 3 days and it's 0% 

Was refer to your post on 'when i busy.... i don wear watch..... that is to save battery life', it doesnt save much battery life on Android Wear because the rate it drop wasnt that much different due to tiny battery.

Motorola's update mostly depend on Google's update to Android Wear OS, and since it's more than one years old, there isnt much bug left over ( if any ).

2nd gen should have way longer battery with ambient mode on. But the price just doesn't cut it.

Get urself a SteelConnect adapter, then u can use any 22mm strap sold in the market without need to cut a hole in the middle.

Strap buy where? I prefer buy it online cos cheaper, decent quality and more varieties.

Or you can check out Fossil retail stores, they sell a lot quality leather straps which I think priced kinda reasonable la.

It has a new Qualcomm SoC tat is less power hungry, and much power then our 1st gen TI OMAP, and they even stuff in a slightly bigger battery, and a normal watch lug so no more "break back plastic" , no need buy Steelconnect(some say no like). Battery can last like almost 2 days. So the improvement is very welcome one.

Just tat... I'm poor like shit... 

But i'm not complaining, 1st gen still rocks, can last like around a day i'm happy, really. 

1 or 1 1/2? Do you mean the difference between Gen one with full charge  or the watch will seriously only last for an hour?

After a few days of use, my observations are as follows: -

1. Battery life is below average. The watch hovers dangerously at 20% on a normal to slightly heavy use (with lots of heart rate check and messages);
2. Performance is slightly sluggish as reported by most but I am not complaining as it is still reasonably acceptable.
3. Like the waterproof feature. No worries when washing hands or bring it in to the shower to control the music.
4. With iPhone, the watch face is limited. I can't even add more information on the watch face so it can be a bit bland.
5. Not wearing it too tight so I don't crack the back. Don't think its worth investing more money for the steel connect, although rubber straps might be nice so I can use it more in the vicinity of water. 
6. Drains my iPhone battery more because of the constant Bluetooth connection.

The only thing about this watch is that my normal watches are now in cold storage for the moment.

I think I will get bored of this watch soon but this is not the watches problem but inherent in all smart watches.

Well, that's way worse than I expected. Guess I'll be skipping on Gen 2 as well.

Have to wait and see how much is Huawei watch first compared to Moto Gen 2 priced here in Malaysia.
