I think he meant iOS.
*
I see.
ahmai2332 Well, i don think IOS will be having any new update soon as you know apple is really pain in the butt for getting apps approval into their phone especially when it involve android and access to Iphone media....

Lucky i had some android devices laying around my house, i used that to change my watch face for now till iphone get watch maker or facer app in it....

Oh, that is a good idea. Does the watchface information sync with the phone using that method?
*
Correction, I forgot that i had Watchmaker watch Apps install into the watch... so i can change my watch face anytime i want without having connect to the phone after i transfer them from Android Watchmaker watch Apps.

No, sadly it does not. you need to do factory reset again if you want to connect to iphone (means wipe all the data in the watch including your watch face).

Can install watchmaker direct to the watch and change watchface without using handphone?  shocking.gif
*
haha.... Forget to elaborated more...basically is like this.... i need to install the apps into phone first.... then sync the apps with watch ...automatically the apps will install the plugging into the watch.... then you sync the watch face from phone to watch.... disconnect the bluetooth then wah-la~! all you watch face is in your watch.... just press hold the watch face to change them.... no bluetooth required after that.....

Haha, I am lousy TS ler...never update OP. tongue.gif

Anyone else become new TS? We can expand for 2nd gen too.
*
Yup, with all the available spare parts laying around the internet that can be purchase easily.... i can see easily how we can custom our moto360 to second gen 2 (though most of us are sacred to our watch)..... im not sure if the 2nd gen battery will be able to used on the 1st gen moto360 ..... hopefully they fit in the same 3.8V and 1.1Wh since the 2nd gen watch carry the same size also

QUOTE(ianho @ Oct 1 2015, 05:35 PM)
Moto 360 with iPong damn lame la. I use 1 week sahaja. Now back to android.
*
That is because the android wear just got approve by apple only so the software feels more like beta.... and i can foreseen apple user going to have problem importing watch face file into iphone for sync as well.... due to nature of iphone had close enviroment unlike android where you can just plug in the cable and start transferring the files into the phone without hassle....

i don think you can mod entirely the whole watch.... probably best you can mod was the battery only....... as the board and steel case might had some differences....

Seems like after factory reset ... the battery seems improving ... more or less maybe can get 2 days with stock moto face and ambient off... set brightness at 3 smile.gif

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Oct 5 2015, 10:39 PM)
mine with wrist gesture and watchmaker, from 8am leaving dock till 6pm return home watch still has at least 70% (daily basis) so even on a night out till 1pm my watch still has more than enough juice, my phone, well, drops faster battery laugh.gif
*
Try to benchmark mine.... Brightness Auto, ambient off, watch face with viewing of the face watch between 8-10 times a day ... it lasted my 3 days with only left 10% from 12am to 12am....

I say it is quiet good enough already...

but one thing i cant help to notice.....do you guys every used wrist gestures ? Does it work all the time ? hmm.gif

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Oct 6 2015, 12:56 AM)

Wrist Gesture suppose to be flipping up and down the card. It work near perfect for me, of coz you must flip it 'correctly' for it to determine you're flipping up and flipping down, once you get hold of how the gesture work, it's flawless.
*
you mean it works on the menu but not turn on the face watch from sleep ? hmm.gif

"Wrist Gesture" is when your other arm is busy *ahem*, u can still scroll thru all the cards on your watch with just wrist rotate. tongue.gif

Not wearing also battery goes down, the most I could is 3 days and it's 0%Ā  rclxub.gif
*
Sure will goes down one.... anything that used electric also the same even handphone also ....if you no used, it will slowly discharge out from battery as long as it is connected to any board or circuit......

Trying out the tilt wake thing, not really liking it as it is very sensitive....slight tilt will turn the LCD on .... that will cut down battery usage to 2 days .... i wish there is a tweak to reduce the sensitivity....

That leave me wonder, when motorola is going to give the next update....it seem they hardly do any firmware update on the watch....

Was refer to your post on 'when i busy.... i don wear watch..... that is to save battery life', it doesnt save much battery life on Android Wear because the rate it drop wasnt that much different due to tiny battery.

Motorola's update mostly depend on Google's update to Android Wear OS, and since it's more than one years old, there isnt much bug left over ( if any ).
*
Well at least when i like it dark, romantic room rather then having watch LCD flashing on and off all the time brows.gif
Yes, in term of battery drain when not wear but if i leave it ideal, it would save more battery juice

Actually was hoping that they could just tweak something rather then jst depending on google update on android wear... especially the ambient mode that carry forward to 2nd gen laugh.gif

2nd gen should have way longer battery with ambient mode on. biggrin.gif But the price just doesn't cut it.

If u buy from directd is RM799. with warranty.
*
Bigger battery is more to accommodate faster processor and better screen.....more like you got good engine but your car is big and heavy..... so more or less it much the same as the 1st gen but slightly better only hmm.gif

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Oct 8 2015, 06:12 PM)
mostly used. saw a new one but RM800
*
Cant help it....with our depression currency .... it think RM800 is more or less are the same as lazada also RM799-Rm800 already hmm.gif

can anyone here tell me where to change my strap or purchase a replacement strap?
*
QUOTE(philippecr @ Oct 8 2015, 12:05 PM)
Get urself a SteelConnect adapter, then u can use any 22mm strap sold in the market without need to cut a hole in the middle.

Strap buy where? I prefer buy it online cos cheaper, decent quality and more varieties.

Or you can check out Fossil retail stores, they sell a lot quality leather straps which I think priced kinda reasonable la.
*
+1
if you had any china contact source.... you can get from china too.... dirty cheap then ordering from US or getting from shop at least i might say rclxms.gif

It has a new Qualcomm SoC tat is less power hungry, and much power then our 1st gen TI OMAP, and they even stuff in a slightly bigger battery, and a normal watch lug so no more "break back plastic" brows.gif, no need buy Steelconnect(some say no like). Battery can last like almost 2 days. So the improvement is very welcome one.

Just tat... I'm poor like shit...  unsure.gif

But i'm not complaining, 1st gen still rocks, can last like around a day i'm happy, really.  biggrin.gif
*
Haha... that the ideal est. time given by motorola only.... bet after when you throw in all the notification and stuff it will only last about 1 or 1 1/2 hours tops..... wink.gif

last time also they mention 1st gen watch can last for 1 days but when user got their watch .... it lasted only 5-10min with everything thrown in..... if it is ideal, i think which most of us benchmark it could last almost 3 days max and i bet a slight improvement over new one could be 4 days to 5 days maybe..... blush.gif

Well, i also welcome the new processor and LCD but some small minor improvement just don justified the expensive price tags for most of us....

Haha .... most of us is broke too because of the USD hike and everything kept increasing.... for now i would just sleep, eat and hold on tight to my 1st gen rclxms.gif

1 or 1 1/2? Do you mean the difference between Gen one with full chargeĀ  or the watch will seriously only last for an hour?
*
Gen 1 charge only lasted 5-10min of heavy usage while Gen 2 will give its best at 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours....both on fully charge then again it all up to subject of heavy usage testing with ambient on....

QUOTE(buyou12 @ Oct 15 2015, 01:25 AM)
After a few days of use, my observations are as follows: -

1. Battery life is below average. The watch hovers dangerously at 20% on a normal to slightly heavy use (with lots of heart rate check and messages);
2. Performance is slightly sluggish as reported by most but I am not complaining as it is still reasonably acceptable.
3. Like the waterproof feature. No worries when washing hands or bring it in to the shower to control the music.
4. With iPhone, the watch face is limited. I can't even add more information on the watch face so it can be a bit bland.
5. Not wearing it too tight so I don't crack the back. Don't think its worth investing more money for the steel connect, although rubber straps might be nice so I can use it more in the vicinity of water.
6. Drains my iPhone battery more because of the constant Bluetooth connection.

The only thing about this watch is that my normal watches are now in cold storage for the moment.

I think I will get bored of this watch soon but this is not the watches problem but inherent in all smart watches.
*
you mean Gen 1 ? because Gen 2 seem to had fix the item no.5
