Tempted to buy one but was wondering on the display quality. Does the display resolution too low for viewing? Do you need to click the display/button everytime you want to look at the time? How long can the battery last with screen always on?
The display is great for a smartwatch. You dont need a super high bleeding edge hd amoled screen that much as u just use it for glancing the time and notifications..
For the display you have a few options, tilt wrist to view, ambient mode (watch displayed in low power mode dimmed state), and swiping the screen to bring up the display back on. If u want to save more battery just turn of all these options and just rely on the swipe to turn on screen. To me, the side buttons are there for design aesthetic design purpose as a 'hard reset' option. Basically u wont be using the button at all with the voice commands available.
The wrist movement detection is good. if youre walking, the accelerometer knows that your hand is in walking position/axis and the screen will not light up accidentally. This is also true even for ambient mode where the ambient mode will turn off the screen when your hands are in downward position.
Battery varies with usage style. for mine, enough for a day 16-18hrs++, with ambient mode off - tilt to wake screen on - a few hundred steady flow notifications from whatsapp, google now, gmail, etc the whole day.. not remarkable, but acceptable to some people.
