No check up on baby.
Just base on mother condition.
Injection to prevent.... to prevent..... until now I still can't believe I allow this to happen.
Very regret.

Sorry brother, you can't use lawyer to sue them, as to make it a case, you need a doctor to testify. And no doctor will testify against another doctor.

Not in detail.

Wife is fine.
Baby born normal with no injection on mother.

Why injection on baby after born?
because my wife got fever, so the doctor predict and prevent virus on baby & take injection.
If you don't allow the injection.
The doctor said you need to sign off paper and the doctor will not responsible.

PREVENT !

Do you prevent HIV and go take injection ?
What the F***.

All is about $$.

Some private hospital is like that. Besides sucking $, they take all precautionary steps to prevent problems. So, if we cater for private medical specialist, make sure you seek 2nd opinion, or make your own decision properly before letting them do anything. As they asked your permission before proceed with it. That is the reason they always put upfront a document for you to sign concern.

During my time delivering my baby, from the moment I step inside the hospital, they already try to suck my $ all the way from room allocation to final bill. I insisted on 4-bedded room, they put my bags into the twin room. After I came out from emergency c-sect, still force them to move me to 4-bedded room and they still try to offer me those twin room and told me the room is ready for me to upgrade anytime (what? am not in the hospital for holiday).

Due to emergency c-sect, and my boy was born G6PD deficiency that is prone to jaundice. But no jaundice at that time. The paed try to suck $ out of me telling us that need to put bb under the UV light for prevention. Due to G6PD, we agreed although he have no jaundice yet. Then another day, telling us that he need to put my son under monitoring for the next 2days (anytime can put under UV if needed). So not encourage to discharge. Later, I asked my gynae to take a look at my baby whether this is call "yellow"? Gynae say "no yellow". So I told my gynae on what the paed told us. Gynae said by looking at the baby at this moment, no need UV.. actually go home sidai sunlight should be ok. He told us to decide ourselves (behaving like he dares not break the rice bowl of the paed). But my gynae added a sentence before he left "If your bb stay back another 2-3days, y not u also stay back.. be with the bb". Immediately cross my mind, baby bring $ for paed, mommy bring $ for gynae.. obviously.

Anyway, we decided to let bb stay back few days for monitoring and ready to pay for "nothing", just incase. Some patient there advise us to discharge the baby and enrol into GH for checking if that is necessary for monitoring, coz it does sound like the hospital wanted to suck $ only. Anyway, we pay the bill for having my bb stay in the hospital total of 5 nights .. only gone through half day UV from end to end.

Hello, getting jaundice are normal, is not big deal. Just need to monitor and take needed action if it goes severe. Some babies are getting > 3++.
That's why breast feed are important.
Just give baby a morning sunshine(cover the eyes) will more or less solve the problem.
G6PD also not a big issue as this is genetic problem, as a new born child. Only need to avoid certain food and substance.

Hi,

in response to cc980024:
supersound is right as to jaundice and that G6PD is not a big issue as long as care is taken as to avoid food/subs that cannot be taken.

from my personal experience as former patient of govt hosp (hospital ampang and hukm), g6pd deficient newborns are required to remain in ward for 5 days for observation. blood will be drawn daily to test for bilirubin level. only if it surpasses certain level then phototherapy will be done. otherwise mom just stays in ward to take care of baby. anyway, not all g6pd def babies have jaundice.

what side effects caused by the injection?

how you know if did not take injection for the baby, he/she 100% won't get infected?

Do you know how serious it is for a new born baby getting infected by just a normal flu virus?

You would rather take the risk of your baby getting infected than pay some amount for the prevention?

I do not think you have a case. Unless your baby is having complications due to the injection.

Do you take prevention from HIV by inject some kind of medicine?

There is at least two doctor that mention no need for the injection, when everything is too late.
At least you have symptoms of illness.
My case - none.

Just my advice,
don't simply listen to ONE stupid doctor words.

Again, f@#+ you Pantai Cheras !
