Just noted this after acquiring AAX. IS THIS THE REASON FOR THE SHARE TO TUMBLE THIS MORNING? Need help from any Sifu here? Does it mean i have to buy up my entitlement to keep my holding relevant?
13 May 2015 Entitlement Description Renounceable rights issue of up to 1,779,071,540 new ordinary shares of RM0.15 each in AirAsia X Berhad ("AAX Shares") ("Rights Shares") together with up to 889,535,770 free detachable warrants ("Warrants"), on the basis of 3 Rights Shares for every 4 AAX Shares held as at 5.00 p.m. on 15 May 2015 ("Entitlement Date") and 1 Warrant for every 2 Rights Shares subscribed for by the entitled shareholders at an issue price of RM0.22 per Rights Share (the "Rights Issue with Warrants") |

QUOTE(backspace66 @ Apr 30 2015, 03:30 PM) it is not ex yet, after ex the price will be re-adjusted due to the new right issue. Thank You, So Option 1.to exercise my right means to buy the issues up .Correct? . you have two choice, you can exercise your right and prevent your equity from being diluted or you can sell your right in the open market. If you don't do any of the above, than you are at loss, because after ex, your equity will surely be diluted. This is the most basic explanation that i can give you Option 2. How to offer shares to open market? |

QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Apr 30 2015, 03:35 PM) Right issues do have diff meaning and interpretations :- In this case of AAX is it 1 or 2?1) A co may secure some big projects and need money to carry out these projects ..which is positive 2) A co after an IPO....most money lost in doing the businesses..and now needs shareholders to bail them out with more cash calls... Generally 2 is deemed to be bad.......and tends to dilute yr earning power with no feasible profits in sight ..worst with tonnes of free warrants to attract people ( misleading ) Just my thinking.........only Ya u need to buy the rights...else diluted more ....and u ended with more losses ( diluted ) ..U can opt to sell the rights in most cases...for a few sen maybe..but u lost the free warrants ( given to new owner u sold yr rights to ) |

I wonder if a change in PM will shift the market up down or indifferent ? With all the political noise clanking away over fraud , poor leadership etcetc
I am inclined to think the perception of a change would be positive news to the stock market. So buy more stocks now..?? |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ May 3 2015, 07:11 PM) local n foreign investors must be thinking harder than you on this! I m sure they are strategically positioned, if fact i would not be surprise they are behind some of the noise too. I thank all of you for sharing your insights into that scenario . I must say my thoughts on the effects of a change did change after picking up the vibes from feedback here and direct face to face with others.i can think of 3 phases.... 1. if bursa gets knocked down continuously while other bourses stay firm, we know the change is imminent. insiders and people in the know will act first. nobody likes uncertainty. 2. who will take over? investors foreign and local are clever, they can read what's going on. what will next one be like? someone who has reputation to be pro-market, pro-investors? or pro-bigger budget deficit, pro-bigger debt, pro-more arrests? or someone who will do nothing and go on like before? this, u gotta find out for yrself. and remember as per tradition, pm+fin minister is one n same person, very powerful. 3. after change if any, what really does happen. talk is cheap, investors need to see the real thing. well, for all u know, there may be no change at all in anything for some time. To my recollection, when the last PM step down when orchestrated by the same person, the stock Market showed no reaction except for controversial counter like Equine. So i guess if this happens and same political party calling the shots is still in control, business as usual. |
