The Edge reported that most of the shale oil producers have already hedged their production and are making profit in spite of the drop in oil price. It looks as if the low price environment will continue for at least a year.

The way they accelerate is very scary.

MYeG charges Rm38 per person on the foreign worker renewal permit, and with recent news of immigration no longer handle the renewal, all must go through MYeG (the only one route so far), estimated 2 million plus foreign worker currently in Malaysia which every year need to renewed one, estimate revenue can be generated from this change of policy by immigration department alone, may be around 80~90 mil.

Anyhow.. a lot of airlines company are taking this advantage and buying a lot of of future oil contract. Some as far as to end of 2016

honestly, I don't really understand how oil and gas works. So, dare not invest in oil and gas.
For property stocks, at least the process is straight forward.
Like for SymLife, I have more or less an idea of what they are doing - so, can stomach paper losses of even more than 30 cents per share.

But scared Symlife:
(1): their segment is for top end market, luxurious type, and
(2): customers are complaining the quality of their deliverable is sub-par.

Sigh….Scared (1) and (2) will affect them especially during such a soft property market.

With many oil company cutting capex, oil price even though might show weakness, there is a limit how low it can go now.

I guess oil already found its bottom at the region of 40~50. It might not back straight up to 70~80, but a range bound in oil price actually benefit to all parties.
