Thanks.

How to change the duration of the ringing tone of the caller ? Like when a person call me, it takes longer time for the call to be dropped. Mine very short already dropped, so everytime I have to run to answer my call.

QUOTE(Andrew @ Jan 30 2006, 11:09 PM)
Thanks eddievh. I've just called the number and had my ringtone duration increased. The customer support staff was very polite and helpful.

But just as a note to those who plan to increase their ringtone duration, please be informed that the following services will be cancelled as well:

1) Voicemail
2) Missed call notification

For 2) Missed call notification, some configuration is needed on the user's end. You'd need to type *147*0# and press the Call button on your phone.  Before you enter this command however, you'd need to contact the customer support at 1-830-820-120 first.

Take note also that it takes at least two hours for the changes to take effect.

On the other hand, I've noticed that my Hotlink prepaid ringtone has been increased from its existing 24-second duration to:

- 40 seconds if called from another Maxis number
- 59 seconds if called from a DiGi number
- 1 minute 28 seconds if called from a fixed-line number in Penang (04)
*
Im not really understand about the second disadvantage. What do u mean it will be gone ? And, why do we need to press those codes for ? Please be more specific.

If Im converting my prepaid number to postpaid for Family Plus Plan, will I still be able to use the activ5 ? So, that I can still sms my friends in activ5 with 1 cent. What about my caller ringtone ? Will it be deducted from the RM50 or I have to pay seperately ?

I'm a prepaid user too, but my bro is a postpaid user. So, he's trying to get me and my mum to be his supplementary lines for Family Plus Plan. Since we dont use much, he can use the shared credit. laugh.gif
