My '09 Persona SE IAFM reached over 77k and I have changed almost all the wear and tear parts including Timing Belt, ACC Belt, Engine Mounts, Fuel Filter, Air Filter, ATF Flush etc.
Last few days I drove around 120-140km/h as usually i drive around that speed on open highways depending on traffic. So today I noticed that my engine has been acting very weird. Its like theres so much lack of power when i hit the pedal, the pick up is slow and sluggish and 0-100 takes a lot of times unlike before. My persona has always been very snappy and quickly responded to pedal since I have done Throttle Body port and polish.
So now Im worried whether this problem is caused by the IAFM Intake Manifold or are my Pistons Fried? Really tensed about this. Anybody else have ever faced this issue before?
Thanking in advance smile.gif

Background Info : I have a Proton Persona SE and have recently changed my exhaust system, about 2 weeks ago; changed the tensioner bearing last week;and I got new rims yesterday, changed from stock.

After changing the rims, I kept hearing a sharp, high-pitch, high frequency sound inconsistently from the back of the car while driving back. It only shows up in bumpy roads, but not on speed bumps. It sounds like metal rumbling but very sharp and high pitched. Im guessing its the rear seat as going slow on bumpy roads causes a KREK KREK sound from the back, but cant really figure out the sharp metal noise though.

I have taken it for inspection doubting my suspension or wheel system produced it but without much success. Even the shop could not detect the root cause of the noise.

It has been very frustrating not being able to identify the actual problem. And too much of that noise gives me a headache. Has anyone faced this kind of a problem before? Please do share your knowledge, opinion or experience on whatever might be the cause of this.

Please help me out guys. All your help is much appreciated. Thank you smile.gif

Been experiencing this for quite some time now. Just got used to it. I think reason is the the door seals have a gap somehow for the water to sink in through the bottom side of the door.
