Uhm.... Dunno what sort of damage will it cause, but I imagine that it wouldn't be good for your blower motor with the on off going on, and possibly your air-cond compressor if you did not turn it off manually.

My special air-cond shop at Sungai Buloh. brows.gif I don't remember the exact price though, but it wasn't particularly expensive as far as I remember. Definitely not over RM250.

Bro,

actually you can dismantle it and clean the contact points.

I did mine a month+ ago and working fine until now,

no more on/off aircond or suddenly high speed fan symptoms.

Perhaps you can give it a try before replace it.

Patco cost (3 screws) = RM2xx
Sanden cost (4 screws) = RM2xx-3xx

I'll send it to you when I locate the receipt. I cannot guarantee the price though because it might be special price. hmm.gif. Also, if you plan to do anything to the air-cond that is related to taking the filter out, don't let them do it because they probably will break the bracket. Costed me RM25 to replace sweat.gif.

A - I notice that Persona have below average braking performance, do the new all-disc brakes feel better than the previous batch? What to do to improve braking system in persona? I'm really curious about this because I've tested persona before but I've never triedy to do emergency braking. How are the brakes compare to Saga / Myvi?

U will feel the brake is not performance than others, because of the EBD system.

what is EBD system? hmm.gif sweat.gif

hi, which contact points? you mean the socket plugged-in to the controller there? got any photo for reference? seems not easy to dismantle as need to take out the casing around gearbox area right?

tq.

No, not the connector,

is the aircond knob behind those contact points.

unfortunately I only have the aircond switch photo,

I forgot to take the PCB photo.

Yes, It may not easy if you dismantle first time,

you might break some plastic parts.

need to remove the 2x screw on top portion,

center console need to adjust abit in order to make some space to pull the aircond assembly out.

Attached Image

Red Color = 2x screws you need to remove.
Blue Color = 4x clips to hold the aircond switch in place, you need to pry it out.
Green Color = these two portion connected to your center console.
Yellow Color = 4x screws type is Sanden, 3x screws type is Patco, the main connector also different.
Both brands not interchangeable.

Hope this helps.

Nope. I let them install it for me, but helped them disassemble the centre console at the same time to make it faster. I'm going to send you the shop's info now, but call them first before you go to confirm the price & stock.

was there any IC/chipset inside? Or any resistor?
my problem i guess it wasn't the contact point issue, more likely some electronic losses spec after heat-up (use for certain period).

i think my center console dissemble would be more work as mine was earlier batch of gen2, seems the middle glovebox need to taken out as well. sad.gif
later batch or persona elegance i notice some changes in center console design, which makes it easier for aircond controller replacement...

after you removed the 4x yellow circle screws on my previous photo,

the PCB and aircond knobs will separate from the housing.

after you remove these two yellow cicle screws also,

Attached Image

flip over,

you should be able to see the aircond knob's screw as well,

remove the aircond knob's screw, you will see the contact point/leg I mean.

becareful becoz the contact 'leg' is very thin, you might be accidentally bent it.
(I forgot to take photo on this portion, after pasang balik only realize .... )

the center console you just need to loosen/remove all the screws, no need dismantle totally,

you need a free space in order to pull out the aircond assembly only..

how is the old Gen2 center console looks like?

I only remember the Power Windows Switch is located at there .

It looks like this
http://www.autoworld.com.my/v2/news/view-n...93/63274850.jpg

Few years back I have tried to dismantle the aircond controller when the knobs and board went inside. I remove the radio, but couldn't take out the controller as it was hold tight by the center console case. I only managed to tape the board back using my fingertip. sad.gif
