Lol, lotus handling is no joke. Together with multilink suspension, it's stable than many cars on market.

what do you means by stable? cornering and handling good eh?
*
Stable when traveling on highway.
I used to frequent kampung routes which had many corners and bends. It does handle very well.

but sometime turning corner or up hill, it suddenly become like stuck a bit becoz of changing gear..

Lol can't do anything with the 4At gearbox. You can't compare it with vios's 4AT. Proton's 4at gearbox is sluggish,no power at first and 2nd gear. Power only comes on higher RPM.

What to do, pay for such price can't expect more already.

Ya lor, long time liao. Did not go to car web site anymore until recently coz too busy with unker life....now only free a bit...

Just remembered the site recently. Luckily got store link in my browser.

Car still performing well. Just changed out the Denso Power plugs at 80K (40k mileage), performance of plugs already started degrading from 75K (a bit harder to start recently). Spending over 1K for 80k major service...and performance renewed...yeah..
*
80k service need RM1k ?? What did you change?

One thing I don't like about persona's steering, do you guys realized it's slightly slunted? Compared to other cars' steering. My wrist will get tired more easily with this slight slunting.

QUOTE(dares @ May 29 2015, 04:49 PM)
Yea Persona's steering is quite heavy compared to 1st gen Vios which is also HPS. I think Saga is about the same although maybe slightly lighter. Waja is also lighter.

That said, driving on highway with Persona feels steadier, the Vios steering becomes so light on the highway it feels like the wheels are not touching the ground....there is very little resistance. Conversely driving in town takes a bit more effort. Also doesn't help that Persona's turning radius is the size of Australia.

But I have no complains, because I had driven a non power steering car for many years, so any power steering is good enough for me.
My upper arm and shoulder easily gets tired when driving the Persona, I don't know why. It doesn't happen with other cars with either HPS or EPS. Maybe it's my seating position.
*
I think it's the same cause. The slunting and smaller steering. You try to compare the steering angulation with other cars.

Try my method of holding the steering.
For me I feel better after holding like that lah.

I used to drive wira and vios , no such prob even after long distance driving. Stupid persona steering design.

Really? The lights are quite dim even when fully on tho, can hardly notice them during daytime.
Yup, because the light source is a bulb near the "L" position, end up lighting very uneven, plan to DIY and change to a better bulb soon  brows.gif
*
Ya, no idea why they wanna install such ugly lights there. Cheap car ma, what to expect lol.

Ive just buy proton persona few months back. If you guys have any idea upon solving this problem, please do share smile.gif

1. The rubber lining on rear door. The one that attached to the car body. The double sided tape already worn out/loss its stickiness and the rubber not attached anymore.

2. Sometimes (usually if i didnt drive my car for two days), if i open the a/c, there will be squeking noise (like bunyi tikus) from back of the glove compartment.

3. How do you guys minimize the wind noise/dashboard rattling noise?

Thank you sifu's biggrin.gif
*
So fast for rattling sound already ? From where? U confirm its within the dashboard?

Ok for the aircond cent sound, try adjust the vent (the direction of the air), at certain angle the sound will be gone.

Another source of noise is from the lower part of the audio system, when I free I will take pic to show u, I sepit a piece of paper at the gap to stop the rattling noise.

another rattling sound is at he driver side lock there, driving at high speed is damn annoying  shakehead.gif

On the contrary, my front passenger's door, around the power window compartment, hv some noise. I suspect something loose inside.

Proton ma, can't expect much lol. No major problem I am happy already.

hi guys,

question, when reverse car, apply brake got "wong wong"sound, is the dust in brake pad? the only solution is buy better brake pad?
*
I have experienced the exact sound , "Wong Wong wong" it's pretty loud. I'm not sure why it's like that but it didn't affect the brake performance. But nowadays the sound is gone.

Anybody here using steering cover? I bought one but seems like it's slightly too big for my steering... Persona's steering seems a lot smaller than others.

If it is non elastic, it always a little bigger in size. Either you tie it, or stuck something inside.

I dont like to stuff something in.

Is it the same for for other car steerings also? for the steering cover to be loose.

I somehow felt that Persona's steering memang smaller than others.
