Hey every dota players here , I need to do a survey on a project i'm working on.

The story is i have a lot of free time after graduation and some money.

Therefore with my love of playing chess, i am building an international chess with DotA 2 concept!

My idea goes like this,

Pawn = Creeps
Rook/Castle = Str Heroes/Defence tower
Knight = Agi Heroes
Bishop = Int Heroes
Queen = Defence Tower/Str Hero
King = Ancient

The rules apply to both radiant and dire, black and white sides.

It will have additional rules in the gameplay as well (since playing chess a thousand times is kinda bored already)

So therefore i'm almost at my final phase, which is to pick your favourite heroes to work on.

So far i will only allow polling for certain heroes due to the modelling part.

Note: Help list the heroes as selected above k? X) Since i cant poll many... >.>

But do feel free to suggest any heroes you wish for me to create!

I will be posting my progress from time to time here.

UPDATES~26/4/15

Hey people, it has been 2 months ++ since my last update! And as some might wonder, i have NOT forgotten about the project and literally almost everyday i have been working on it! here is some teasers man of ALL the heroes you guys have voted on!

The complications of printing each character till now have been a double McD supersize challenge! (Fail print, printer malfunction etc...)

Radiant characters are 9/10 completed!
Dire characters are now 1.5/10 completed!

I'll continue to update you guys on soon!

The poll is basically useless as u need 3 heroes not 1... Just list it in own post would be better

this is my opinion

Rook/Castle = Sven/Spirit Breaker
Knight = Luna/Mirana
Bishop = Silencer/Razor
Queen = Queen of Pain

My 3 cents:

I think it would be nicer if you would split the board into dire (Scourge) and radiant (sentinel) instead of black and white.

Then for the heroes, use according to radiant or dire heroes as well. Can refer to this:
Radiant: http://dota2.gamepedia.com/Radiant
Dire: http://dota2.gamepedia.com/Dire

If you have the time to build the pieces, I would suggest to build every pawn with a different hero. Then you can differentiate them by sizes between pawn and the other pieces.

Knight can go to those heroes with a mount.

Others, still need more brainstorming

Yes, the main idea was to split them into black/dire and white/radiant.

why would you suggest every pawn to be build in a hero? ._.

Cause plain creeps for pawns is boring?

So rather you differentiate the pieces on front row vs back row by sizes

haha yeah that is the idea, Dota doesnt have more than 5 heroes in a game so i am discouraged to do so.

However it was a fresh breakthrough, maybe i can substituted some creeps as neutral creeps or something haha

your poll is rather limited, based on your need and a little feedback maybe you can try my format, we are talking models of heroes used for international chess right?

Black/Dire:
King: Wraith King
Queen: Queen of Pain
Bishop: pugna
Knight: Chaos Knight
Rook: Pudge

White/Radiant:
King: Sven
Queen: Crystal Maiden
Bishop: Omni
Knight: Dragon Knight
Rook: Tiny

it adds more variety to models and it separates the radiant and dire heroes on each side.

not to mention i TOTALLY ship wk+qop and sven+cm HAHAHAHHA

if you were to make physical sets of these, how much would the pricing be?

my opinion

knight = chaos knight or abadon or mirana, those that have mounts
rook = big and tough like tree, centaur,
bishop = those annoying heroes who like to buy dagon like puck or necro
queen = easy, dire qop radiant lina
king = dire wraith king radiant dragon knight

Why cannot vote for templar assasin? she takes the most autodamage, at least according to these stats on dotahq

and of course PA is the king
