noobie here..

i'm using brisbane 3600x2 am2, hynix hpy5-c4 512x2 667, x 1650pro..
currently running at 2.62(ram n gc didn'nt oc)
i just bought this proc last friday n running it 4 48 hours at 2.62..
then i wander why my cpu temp is very cool..
its reading is around 26-32(depend on surronding)
is it ok??
*
Is the temperature at idle or at load?
A bit too low temp. What cpu hsf are you using? What app are you using for monitoring the proc temp/

QUOTE(afosz @ Jun 17 2007, 05:35 PM)
Just get my 3600+ Brisbane and Biostar TA690G with a pair of Mushkin DDR2-667 1GB. I want to OC, but even running at stock, my cpu-z shows

Core Speed: 1000 MHz
Multiplier: x 5.0
Bus Speed: 200 MHz
HT Link: 800 MHz ( I change it at BIOS)

How do I get 9.5 multiplier? I've been trying around, but none change it. And also I didn't find CnQ features too
*
I think you're running the CnQ. Run a CPU intensive program and I'm sure it will go up to normal speed. Use some program like Orthos to stress the CPU...

Do you want to run CnQ?

I don't think there's CnQ feature in this board, can't find it anywhere, even in Advanced Power Management sweat.gif

Or do I need to update BIOS?

EDIT: problem solved. Been googling around, at last find an update, and there's CnQ in APM. Thanks a lot notworthy.gif

1.5 Vcore? Isn't it too high already? sweat.gif

Anyway, I manage to OC my Brisbane until 2.55GHz and I can't make it to 2.6GHz. Do I need to change PSU or better cpu cooler to reach 2.8~3.0GHz, hopefully brows.gif

He's using Toledo, so the voltage is acceptable.

Toledo at 1.6v??!!?? sweat.gif sweat.gif Could you please give me some references and hyperlinks on this? If these voltages are considered safe for toledo (relatively speaking of course), me wanna OC some more!!! rclxm9.gif

actually 1.6 is not so ok... coz i 2.70GHz @ 1.5Vcore, speedfan showing 60C++
its more when check with core temp...

so i downclock a bit running at 2.67GHz @ 1.42Vcore.. Temp is acceptable on my nitrogon nt06. orthosing at around 50C++ with low fas speed...

Just wanna know if i change mobo to KN8 <-- Not Ultra
dunno can run at lower vcore or not ler???

BTW, is my psu consider good for oc? see my sig...

Ya, I tried 1.45v and managed to get 2.85 Ghz! However, my core temp jumped up to 61-62'c!!! sweat.gif sweat.gif

Decided to put back to normal vcore... cool2.gif

I should think a 500w PSU should be enough, as your rig doesn't consume much wattage....

Using watercooling, even with 1.6v you can get low temps.

KN8 ? Why not u try it yourself ? My KN8 Ultra is doing great currently.

Which psu ? Acbel 500w? Not sure myself since my acbel 450w ipower also not enough juice for my rig.

Owh, okay then. But surely it would be better than your current mobo.

@ uzairi - thx for the reference! Really helpful! thumbup.gif

Was wondering whether you can tell me where you got it from. Wanna see what other info they have! biggrin.gif

I guess my toledo would be safe until 1.5v. However, at 1.45v and at 2.84 Ghz, already 60-61'c!! More than the recommended max of 60'c..... sad.gif
