I realized that China assembled AMD have 3 letters after the production week numbers in the stepping. Can anyone confirm?

Well for some reason people usually think "Made In China" = Low quality. Don't ask me why. laugh.gif

that's good...before this i was running 2.6g@1.45Vcore...i tried to reduce to 1.425Vcore and it worked like a gem...primed it and all pass..for about 8hrs..previously @1.45Vcore primed till 11hrs54min without error..IMHO..although china made quality are the same or mebbe better or mebbe slightly lower but amd still got its operation standard to follow..

U can change the multiplier downwards and raise the HTT while playing with dividers.

U got a nice proc there, i need 1.48v to get 2.6ghz. Made in China doesnt mean they're not good. wink.gif

how to check my nominal/default CPU voltage? where to find the info?
cos the value in CPU-Z keeps shifting between 1.376 and 1.392v.

after i found out from OPN, it's 1.4v. why so big difference between 1.376v?

where to find info on my PCI frequency besides BIOS? any software?

nForce based chipsets tend to have hardware locks enabled, meaning no matter where the FSB is set to, the PCI/AGP frequencies stay at 33/66 respectively.

i'm using a nForce 410 mobo.(those with built in 6100GPU, i have a dedicated graphics card anyway) it doesn't have the lock options in my BIOS. does that means it is lock?

Hurmm, then u can only manipulate the HTT and Dividers.

The voltage does fluctuate so dont worry that much and yes its 1.4v. IIRC your mobo is locked so no worries.

hai.. is that really o.k to run cpu with vcore 1.545V for a long term bcoz currently i ran at that voltage somebody say it is safe as long as vcore lower than 1.625V...
Right now i manage to get 9x290=2.61GHz...8+ hour prime test without error with large FFT and ram prior at 4....
Has anybody got bad exprience when run Vcore above than 1.5V for along term..

Prime error because not enough voltage/not stable.

i use stock cooling, here my cpu temp :

idle : 42
full load (while prime test) : 55

is that temp ok or i need to replace my cpu cooling to run at that vcore for a long term..

Alrighty.
Used three motherboards, socket 939 till AM2, all of them won't let me boot at 280HTT.

Should I go C2D then?
Urghh... the problem's been bugging me last year till now. Tried ram latencies.. tried overvolting... tried lowing the HT link.. yada yada doesn't works.

AM2 3000+
Patriot 1GB 533
Biostar Tforce 550 (the 2.2v jumper doesn't works. Or at least on my rams. Bla. never tried on others)

Someone can help me? Perhaps come over my place. Seriously desperate now. Maybe I should consider shifting to another town.

with stock cooling my idle temp is somewhere around 35'C to 38'C

full load temp is around 52'C up to 58'C depends on ambient temperature.

clockspeed at 2711mhz with 1.5Vcore, temperature reported by CoreTemp.

You know you shouldn't discuss about Intel in an AMD thread.

Anyway... the 2.2v jumper is supposed to supply fixed voltage.

Tforce550 should be able to run more than 280mhz HTT if you use the latest BIOS. there has been issues of PCI bus not locked at 33mhz with older BIOSes.
