No Option in BIOS to adjust multiplier for HTT . It just have basic Bios configuration.
And I think ram is the problem. Cannot adjust the voltage for ram manually. Hang

Info of my ram
1. Kingston 1GHZ 800Mhz DDR2 Value ram
2. Kingston 1GHZ 667Mhz DDR2 Value ram (Reconized in cpuz as Hyundai)
3. Apacer 512MB 667Mhz DDR2 Value ram

is it all value ram is single channel? I've lack of info about ram .

use pair of kingston..
i think ur mobo didnt make for ocing la bro

find the important value..
vcore, vdimm,
HTT adjuster.. that important..
n divider

Walau ......ur ram make so much problem. i think cannot for higher . if u wan better find another pair ram with same chipset , same mhz speed and same double side or sigle side

is better buy new 1 and sell off those kingston..u kingston is very suck.... maybe team elite is better ..cheap and can oc to 1000mhz

Already take out The 512mb ram . Paired the 1GHz Kingston 667 + 1GHz Kingston 800

not stable la . The Earlier setting is more stable than this dual channel . Just lower ther mutliplier to 2.7Ghz.

LDT & PCI bus Control is the HTLink ..set to 800 or 600
Disable AMD live and AMD cool & quiet .
All the setting at JumperFree Configuration there plz dont use auto

Already try that but it doesn't work out. My pc doesn't boot up. Have to clear the cmos bios. Also try several time

Abit 78 is quite good mobo and biostar ta770a2+ also same this 2 mobo is budget oc mobo
u can see my siggy there i edy got 2 biostar 770 mobo and i no hv any problem with da...only a lil bit slow cool boot (wait 8 sec from press start button until been sound)

im noob in OC.
already tried OC my PC. but facing problem.

details:
AMD 64 3000+ venice w/ stock cooler
DFI infinity NF4 SLI
2GB Kingston DDR 400 Value
Corsair 750w RAM
Cosmos 1000 casing

my tries is stated below. all stress prime test done for approx. 6 hours.

1. set HT to 3x, multiplier 9x and lower RAM to 133Mhz & 1.35v. Up the FSB until 250 Mhz & run stress prime 2004, pass. after that upped the FSB to 255 Mhz can't pass the stress prime. PC hang.

2. lower the multiplier to 8.5x all other settings same, can reach max 260 Mhz FSB. stress prime pass.

3. lower the multiplier to 8x all other settings same, can reach max 270Mhz FSB. stress prime pass.

all of these setiings gave me only 2.2Ghz only. i saw others can get up to 2.5 Ghz or 2.6 Ghz. Where did i do wrong?
scare to increase the voltage since i only use stock cooler. but tried to increase until 1.45v can reach 255Mhz FSB x 9 only.

all the temperature checked using core temp and stay around 40-42 celcius.

need help from all the OC master in LYN here.

what u means by fail?? if u play wit safe voltage.. i'm pretty sure ur hardware will not blow.. try slowly.. but now try to get what the theory mean first..

provide with SS.. i think ur main prob here onli the vcore.. if u dare to pump more,, the more u get

what is SS?
to what level of vcore i can increase?
is 1.5v still considered ok?
i hope can get around 300Mhz FSB x 9 with 1:1 RAM or at least 5/6 divider.
Hopefully the RAM will "survive".
Hard to find good DDR 400 RAM nowadays.

look for ur temp, i dunt want to suggest any vcore.. if 55c on load.. so it shud be ok la..
haha.. DDR aledi can put in muzium.. but nice to play wit DDR, dun pump to high vdimm .. so it will in safe

SS is screenshot. which BIOS version you're using?
i'll say 1.50V is still safe for Venice + stock cooler.
remember disable cool and quiet, loose up RAM timing.
disable SATA3&4 (just try it)
this mobo can take up to 355HTT on stock voltage, tested by myself.
