There are some members here who're too obsessed with eating totally clean. I'm thinking what's the point of you want to be big and strong when you guys don't get enough calories in. This guy in the link is one of my friends, and he admitted his diet was way too clean to keep gaining, from his avatar, you will see he is very huge.

LOL - that's because the truth hurts. Not getting enough is the ultimate brick wall in adding muscle. You can not get around it. Granted your body might function a bit better and you'll likely live a longer higher quality life with a wholesome dietary intake, but the most uber clean diet in the world can't compensate for not providing enough calories.

Actually a lot of very big guys have found that they simply can't get enough clean food in during the day to get enough calories. It comes down to a volume issue in that clean food is less calorically dense so one requires more volume of intake (just raw pounds of food). That can be a tough limit so many find adding in more calorically dense foods (i.e. fats, sugars, etc...) enables them to get enough calories to continue growing. Obviously there still has to be enough protein and reasonable balance to support life and growth but that just isn't the ordeal most people make it into.

Largely people, especially diet focused BBers, don't want to hear that. But really, it's a lifestyle issue. Eating an uber clean diet all the time is simply not essential to adding a lot of muscle. Then again, I'd like to think a high quality and healthy life is important to some people too - it certainly is to me and although I don't condem McDonalds as death on earth and I've had a double quarter pounder only a week or so ago, most of what I feed myself is quite clean. Find a maintainable balance that works for your life and priorities - as with anything, people at the extremes tend to be pretty unbalanced in general.

Yeah thanks. Think about it. A lot of skinny guys won't grow on just tuna and oats. Too few calories. Sometimes you gotta get down and dirty when it comes to ectomorph bulking.

No he didn't. He can't count on one hand the number of workouts he has missed and the number of meals he has missed together on one hand. He calculates his calories and his macros for each meal. How many of us claim to actually do that?

What he changed most in his 2 years was his diet. That is why i keep stressing, eat right, eat right, eat right. Most people will never listen.

This guy is 100% dedicated.

Exactly. Now THAT is eating a lot and eating right. Again, how many of us actually do that day in day out? I know i'm guilty of slacking on my diet sometimes.
