Has anyone used the Marantz PM8006? I've been reading reviews and talking to some of my audio 'guru' friends who have used Marantz products and im about to bite the bullet. Would love someones input on this.

I had a chance to listen to it at a friend house about a month ago. I do think the overall sound signature is good. More importantly I sound is easy to listen to from all kind of music from pop to classical.

Anyone here using bare wire connection on both speaker and amp side?
I first tried on the speaker side got positive effect then recently tried on amp side got significant level up of overall sound even more. Worth a try if using none exotic cable and plug.

Greeting Marantz owners,

I'm looking to get Marantz M-CR612. The Spotify and Tidal features get my attention as I listen to online streaming alot in current days, though I have a few CDs to listen to too.
May I know the user experience on this feature?

Thanks.

initial turn on, need some loading time & connect wifi by itself.
after that, speed is acceptable from app control

Bire wire is better as plugs just add another layer of connection

Tried M-CR610 before, small unit I brought to my friend's house for audition demo. Once connected with wifi, you can use Spotify paid version on your phone and select which device to stream, then control volume/songs from your phone. Sometime (rarely) the song may not play and seems to hang, need to exit Spotify from phone and reconnect wifi on M-CR610.

Can connect via network cable?

Choose speaker that costs double of this device... That would blow my budget. 😅
I'm actually thinking about Dynaudio Emit M20 or Elac Debut DBR62.
Would these speakers do justice to the receiver?
Or maybe I should consider a cheaper option for the network receiver?

haha just want to maximize its ability. myself very impressed.
if u ok with elac tuning, try to aim unifi serie. near dbr cost with 3way crossover.

receiver i guess there is no other choice to compete with marantz functions. unless at higher cost or bigger body

Impressed... That's the word I'm looking for😁

Elac unifi U5 slim 3? Gona check out the reviews.

I'm new in this so I don't have anyone to go to at where I stay(Kedah).
Personally, Dynaudio speakers managed to get my attention but I have problem finding reviews online.

Back to Elac unifi, is the speaker good for vocal and jazz?
I read reviews of DBR62 saying that it is warm, which would sound like my headphone setup, I supposed.

Noted, bro.

Afterall, I'm new in this and I haven't been (and choose not to be) exposed to all the intergrated amplifiers yet. 😛

Me look at the price of other higher end network receivers also😵😵

prefer unifi with front bass port than the slim version rear port (not easy)
overall size is still smaller than DBR.

among ur headfi gear, which ATH u love the most?

i dont have time to read all. few ppl are mentioning the unifi not good when volume up loud
https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/in...ed.15736/page-2

"Hello,

The UniFi 2.0 have a similar tonal character to the Debut Reference speaker. The UniFi 2.0 is better for music as it is a 3-way speaker design where the Debut Reference is a 2-ways speaker.
Also the UniFi 2.0 has a concentric mounted tweeter and midrange driver which gives it really good sound stage and imaging.

For dual use Music and home theater either one can be used. Go with the Debut Reference if you prefer a nicer looking real wood veneer cabinet.
Go with the UniFI 2.0 if having the best sound quality is the number one thing for you.

Respectfully,
ELAC Customer Service"

Elac unifi needs lots of power. The MCR may not be a good choice. Can consider the Yamaha R-N803 as well if within your budget. Yamaha Musicast is able to stream from many sources like Spotify and tidal and its 100 Watts per channel at 8 ohms if I remember correctly.
