I have the most unusual problem that i have ever face logging into wow.

user posted image

Steps i have taken to solve this.
1) Reinstall wow on same hard disk on a different folder
2) Format windows and delete all existing wow folder and files and then reinstall wow on internal drive (C:\) (I did see the game starting video)
3) Updated Graphic card driver and updated directX to directX 9
4) Scan pc for virus and adware and keylogger.
5) Updated my motherboard drivers.
6) Posted on worldofwarcraft.com tech forum but i couldnt access any worldofwarcraft forums.

I'm using
1) Windows XP sp2
2) GeForce FX 5200

Problem occured overnight as i have left my pc running and when i got to to it that is the screen i have been given and it has been like that ever since.

I believe I also have somekind of similar graphic weirdos, but is in the game, not at the login page.

When I flying over the El-something forest outside Stormwind, I found all trees are bared with leaves! no leaves! All bald!

I guessed its due to me after tuning the monitor display frequency to higher (80 hz). Later I drop to 75. No more bald trees encountered.

Just guessing.

I've switch to an older graphic card and using the same 91.47 nvidia driver and it works.

The problem i found on the graphic card was that it is failing the dxdiag direct3d test 7.

The box doesnt spin. It just freezes there.

Now i've switch to my older one and it works i've sent nvidia an mail asking them to help me.

I wanted to hook up a 2nd moniter to the card i was using.
