Hi, I'm planning to buy an electronic drum set XD8usb for my 6+ Year old son. Would like to know is it good as a first set. Does it include the basics with all the required pads, cymbals n the kick for the base drum... (Excuse me if the terminologies r wrong)? What should we look for when buying this drum set? Appreciate your inputs.thanks

My personal opinion is that it is good for 1st timers.

If your kids has advance in his learning, you may need to consider an acoustic version or electronic version which is expandable such as adding additional toms and cymbals.

my personal preference always goes to acoustic drums, though.
