QUOTE(joonwei23 @ Dec 12 2014, 11:52 PM) Bros, I recently bought some pcb mounted stabs off taobao. This type of bent wire will work just fine. For the 6.25X it's exactly like this picture: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I haven't use a bent wire before. Will it work with the keycaps properly ? I know Ivan's GB had some problems and wires had to be remade. I don't want to get a refund either since it's too problematic. Any suggestions ? As long as the wire turning points are right-angled (90°) u won't have any issue in installing then. However, if u plan to use this bent wire with a plate; make the the plate have cut-out for wire, else the wire will most likely kicking with your plate underneath. |

QUOTE(joonwei23 @ Dec 14 2014, 04:19 AM) thanks, and noted. I might bend the wire on my own if it doesn't work. it should be okay right ? No, if u try to bend in order to make it straight, it would became longer.thanks again It will be really hard for me i think, to cut the wire and bend it again precisely. |

QUOTE(joonwei23 @ Dec 14 2014, 11:43 AM) hmm yeah true. Didn't thought of that. Ahh well see. I'll figure it out. Hmm I'm not sure what type of wire is suitable, but to save hassle i just replace it by using plate-mount type wire since it is straight. What wire is suitable tho ? Incase I need to bend it. |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Dec 15 2014, 06:49 PM) So what's the cheapest mech keyboard with red backlight? Don't need full size CM Storm Rapid-I RM350~360, but lack of mx red & black iinm. Can get anything around RM3XX? Any lubang? Edit: I noticed the CM Quick Fire Ultimate Red backlight from lingloong for RM335 only The trigger Z has a bigger keyboard base (which makes it look more spacious) and THERE'S A PALM REST!!! Only RM385 Might go for Trigger Z |

QUOTE(belfong @ Dec 17 2014, 06:20 PM) Haven't put caps yet, so can't comment on how it feels. The caps are at home and I am stuck in office. In terms of width, it is shorter than HHKB because HHKB still have the bezel. 2TU doesn't have bezel. Length are almost the same. But being acrylic the bottom part of the case has some scratches. Not sure if this is acceptable for something premium like this. I guess it is inevitable. Even some CC direct from the man himself have scratches. Hi, do you mind to help for taking few pictures of the bezels, screwing parts with closer shot?Edit: love the fact that it is clear acrylic so I can see the beautiful PCB. And the two stands are just flawless! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Really appreciate Just wanna get a reference of the acrylic case design for later on. Edit: Nvm, I think i got it. Just saw your previous post. This post has been edited by hmwgbworld: Dec 17 2014, 10:11 PM |

Taobao have vintage blacks, 5rmb each.
Or you buy the vintage blacks' board at 240~280rmb each and harvest by yourself or I do the desoldering for u to save a little cost. Normally old boards after harvested 100+ switches, only 70% are useable. Just my 2cent. |

QUOTE(Holyjolly @ Jan 2 2015, 03:08 PM) Hi, I am in love with mechanical keyboard since i was a student. Last time in love with Filco. You can also just get the mx white switches and replace the mx blues by desoldering + soldering. Now I am working and I am planning to get one. Budget: < RM500 (can top up RM100 extra if that product really good) Type: Full-size. Switches: I haven't try all. I like MX Blue but its clicky sound sometimes can be annoying. Prefer switch which soft to press, tactile & little clicky (I think is MX Brown?) I prefer something durable (Quality 1st), future-proof, slightly metal furnished (looks good). Lighting is optional added point. As far as I know, some mecha. KB can be modified? their PCB also have different type and supplier? Any idea to try all MX switches in real life? I come across Corsair K70 RGB (looks sturdy) vs Razer Chroma (nice illumination with extra USB and audio-in & microphone-out port but am I the one who feel kailh switches weird to press?) Ducky shine also have many user. Please throw me with bunch of recommendations! Thank you However bare in mind that mx white is heavy switch, so if u want softer press just change the springs will do. |
