1k is over-killing for mainstream consumer keyboards. If you seriously have 1k to be spent, you can take a look at custom keyboards.

I will suggest you to take a look at KBC Poker first to see if you like its form factor. The keyboard is very mod friendly with lots of aftermart accessorizes to choose for.

i once thought it's not worth investing a high price for just a keyboard and then I've realized that I was wrong all along. Still, this is a very subjective thing and varies from person to person.

And yes, corsair's software is not user friendly enough as compared to razer's.

Different build quality, material, and also construction greatly affects your typing feel and sound. The keycaps you use also plays a great role in this.

Yeah, you buy a lot of STOCK and pre-built boards. That does not, in any way, make you an MKB enthusiast.

Only once you have tasted all the possible switch types for Cherry (at least!) then can you compare with others. Topre and Alps also needed to really understand MKB switches.

Next step is to try the difference between acrylic customs and SUS customs plates. Still, that is not enough because you will need to have tasted the beauty of full alu plate.

In the end though, anyone who will prefer a board which:

1. Emphasis more on bling than quality.
2. Uses clone switches with inferior and questionable quality.
3. Non-ANSI (aka "standard") non-Tsangan layout, non-ISO layout.
4. Reliance on gimmicks to sell instead of creating value.

Unfortunately, all this criteria for me points to any board which is made for "gamers" and not typist boards. Trisnek is only one of the many culprits, which also include corsair, and some models for CM (which actually improved into using standard layouts and pretty decent build quality).

However, I need to mention this to a lot of people. Most Dota 2 pros that who aren't using sponsored boards are using Topres, Duckies and Filcos. Most SC2 pros are using custom boards.

So if you are someone who ranks a bling bling board with cloned switches like Razer Blackwidow Chroma above something like a Ducky, I suggest that you exit the "mechanical" keyboard thread and go enjoy the "gaming" keyboard thread instead, because here you will be treated as a retard, but there they will worship your "good choice" and congratulate your stupidity.

So get lost, because you have nothing to contribute.

It is pretty common to have start using "Gaming" MKBs to begin the journey.
I myself did try some of them too. And, peripherals are more to USER PREFERENCES. Person A can like Corsair, Person B can hate Corsair.

I think dadudeneverabides doesn't like the fact that you listed Ducky as the least of your liking. I can be wrong. 
Because generally, without a doubt, Ducky is superior than Razer. Tested and confirmed by a lot of MKB enthusiasts.

By the way, hate CM Storm?
Their latest products are super epic. CM Storm Quickfire Rapid-i(white LED) and CM Storm Novatouch(It's using Topre Switches, BEST in the world...) are the BEST CM Storm offers currently, IMO.
They're using standard layout, solid build quality!
