I see a faker in this thread.

Yeah, you buy a lot of STOCK and pre-built boards. That does not, in any way, make you an MKB enthusiast.

Only once you have tasted all the possible switch types for Cherry (at least!) then can you compare with others. Topre and Alps also needed to really understand MKB switches.

Next step is to try the difference between acrylic customs and SUS customs plates. Still, that is not enough because you will need to have tasted the beauty of full alu plate.

In the end though, anyone who will prefer a board which:

1. Emphasis more on bling than quality.
2. Uses clone switches with inferior and questionable quality.
3. Non-ANSI (aka "standard") non-Tsangan layout, non-ISO layout.
4. Reliance on gimmicks to sell instead of creating value.

Unfortunately, all this criteria for me points to any board which is made for "gamers" and not typist boards. Trisnek is only one of the many culprits, which also include corsair, and some models for CM (which actually improved into using standard layouts and pretty decent build quality).

However, I need to mention this to a lot of people. Most Dota 2 pros that who aren't using sponsored boards are using Topres, Duckies and Filcos. Most SC2 pros are using custom boards.

So if you are someone who ranks a bling bling board with cloned switches like Razer Blackwidow Chroma above something like a Ducky, I suggest that you exit the "mechanical" keyboard thread and go enjoy the "gaming" keyboard thread instead, because here you will be treated as a retard, but there they will worship your "good choice" and congratulate your stupidity.

So get lost, because you have nothing to contribute.

I agree with the points you stated out. But, sound furious about this. LOL.

As an ex-user of Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Chroma, I must say it's switches quality is really questionable(IMO, it's bad).
But, the blings are really pretty. Layout wise is good as they're using "almost" standard layout. Typing on it is OK, better than rubber dome, but, inferior than Ducky.

I also find my Filco Majestouch 2 TKL is having better typing feel than my Ducky Shine 4. But, I think this might be subjective. Correct me if I am wrong.

There is no such thing as "almost" standard layout. Standard means standard and no other ways about it.

But from what i can see its ironic cause...
Their case is not full alu. Psu not platinum. Cooling if its air not nickel plated.

not a really good comparison.

for mkb the material used does make a difference in the build quality. whether it be the keycaps, the casing, or other smaller parts.

but if it's something as stupid as diamond studded mkb, i'd just face palm. whenever i see those smartphones with diamond or goldplating for aesthethics, i just roll my eyes. but then again i'm not bill gates with lots of money to waste rolleyes.gif

yes price does factor into whether it's worth the purchase considering that mkbs usually priced between rm 3xx-1xxx. but since they start peddling out rubberdome keyboards that is priced roughly same as mkb, then it became a no brainer which to get, considering rubberdome was inferior to mechanical switches. just try and see for yourself doh.gif

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Feb 14 2015, 09:45 AM)
Most important hardware on their computer experience gets neglected.

i totally agree with you on this point. and that is why i list my own personal set of priorities which i feel take more precedent for hardware upgrades.

for me it's a 1 time purchase for a long term investment. i did buy optional keycap parts to pimp out my mkb for better contrasting letterings and keys that don't fade, don't have that oily slick, and has the color schema i want.

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Feb 14 2015, 09:45 AM)
Not all of them but generally. But notice alot of mkb ppl are audiophiles.

i'm not surprised. because these 2 enthusiast groups can easily be of the same types of because both tend to invest in hardware with improvements most mainstreams don't fork out money for that level of improvement.

SP has black color for their DSA PBT blank sets.

I'm pretty sure there is black blank in here
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10....&id=14011959835

according to the pictures and google translate  hmm.gif

The link showed blank black POM material not PBT.
I checked and saw SP got it.
Manufacturer normally don't make black as, it can't be dye-sub.

I think by PBT Black might just be a very dark grey which is not truly black like ABS and POM do.
Now, I am aiming for aluminium keyboard case for my Filco Majestouch 2 TKL. tongue.gif

Anyway, I want to ask, where can I buy RUBBER FEETS?
