From the looks of it, the architect's intention is to maximise natural light and ventilation for the rooms, bathrooms and yard and hence the long corridor which is also made use for storage. Tho I must agree that the downside is a dark corridor and one will need good lighting to brighten the space. But what I really don't get is the narrow balcony, might as well remove.

My major concerns tho are coming from the (very) close proximity to HTC and traffic in the rather narrow Jalan Awan Besar which is already quite congested.
