Anyone using K142HD? Any reviews on it?

Yeah.. yet I have an issue here which is the volume for burn-in are not constant. So I guess it actually will affect the burn-in period. When day time i burn with 80% volume yet at night time I need to sleep, so maybe decrease to 20% of volume only. If i burn with 80% of volume at the night time i guess i probably no need to sleep already because I can hear what the headphones playing 

yo lennox, btw i am finding a open back can for RM400-500 max, any idea? sound sig more on soundstage and detail, other things all is tolerably acceptable

I am selling off my AKG 242 HD if anyone is interested to get one... Its a realy great sounding headphone in my opinion... plays well in most genre...

Since my question of how well does akg k701 improves over the akg 242 has never been answered, I am going to buy one and feel it myself

hv done a lot of google-ing edi... different ppl hv different views... from what i hv read, Akg k242 is known as neutral headphones as well but for me the bass is definite gud enuf for me...  Dark sound and Sony-style-sound are too boring for me...  i prefer clear wide sound with prominent vocal...especially the sound of Olivia Ong~~

hey, i just got my Q701 last week...i got it for RM800+ in us...n its still in the process of burn in~ 
anyway, i wont regret getting it as u cant carry a speaker anywhere u go and u tend to disturb ppl especially when u wanna blast at night(thts wat i do, blasting after long day of study)
the bass for Q701 is avg but the sound is smooth n u can hear it very clear, im running it wit E10...the thing i dn lik is the sound leak tend to b more compare to other open phone, but no big deal~ and ya u still can hear ppl talking if they talk too loud(n ur volume too low)~ so overall its a great headphone to get...i nv tried K701 or K702 b4 so i cant comment on those...n im still waiting for my K240 mkii to arrive tmr...

btw, u can try amazon, i got mine from there but im not sure do they ship internationally or not~

ur Q701 already 500 hours ??? how is it different from 300 hours ?

my K701 now 300 ~ 400 hours, mid frequency getting better and smooth. I believe even if it 500 hours mark, the bass can't go deeper as Q701..

I'm relatively new in the audiophiles world, expect 0 knowledge on the equipments.

I wanted to buy a AKG K242 HD
purpose - music (instrumental)
device - PC (creative pci x-fi xtreme music) & phone

do I need an amp? I have totally no idea what is DAC, tube and whatsoever stuff and their purpose LOL, but I know they're "poisonous"!
