Hi sifus! got question here.

As you all know that the lowest salary for a foreign with s-pass is S$2200 a month ma, then summore the company have to pay S$500 monthly to the government just to let foreigners to work in their company. So the problem is, this SME that i will be working for in the coming months, will deduct S$500 monthly from my salary.  sweat.gif

If this a normal thing in SG or is it just the SME kiam siap? (for those who wonder, i work in art & design field)

Any reason to do so? With sgd on a uptrend it seems like a sure lose situation

one of my concern is tat i plan to change to citizen

left aside whether i will suceed or not, but at the mean times, i m interested with one of property back in malaysia

so to save all the trouble, i come out with an idea, just directly apply singapore loan, so even i changed citizenship, i will save the hassle

or anyone got same experience but apply for malaysia loan ? would it be troublesome in the future when u wanna convert ?

born in Sg doesn't mean automaticially become citizen or pr. A lot of pr gave birth in Sg.
*
i thought only pr or singaporean allowed to give birth in singapore ? So, as they give birth, singapore government will ask the new born to be singaporean or PR. But mostly malaysia parents will let their child become malaysia and Singapore PR. So it means ur parents didnt help u apply PR when you are born here ? correct me if i m wrong.....

MAS announced in a statement at 8am on Wednesday (Oct 14) that it will flatten the slope of its currency band, to "slightly" reduce the rate at which the Singapore dollar is allowed to appreciate.

hi, anyone can advise on changing money back to malaysia for SGD 60,000 ?

to buy prop, to pay downpayment.....

Way i can think of

1) withdraw from bank counter, ask for big note, 60 pieces of 1000 notes, go raffles do TT.... was wondering do they accept 60k transfer ? Any problem ?

2) direct transfer from my OCBC bank account to my malaysia bank account. But dun knw the rate and total charges, been asking OCBC and malaysia bank, both oso dun knw.... Wtf

Anyone know which one is better or is there any other better way to do so ?

P/s : legal money with salary slip, savings over 5 years, with tax paid every year

Open DBS acct, online transfer from OCBC to DBS, then DBS remit to your Malaysia bank (no fees until end of year and rate is very good).

QUOTE(knwong @ Oct 26 2015, 01:29 PM)
Use DBS or CIMB online remit. Can open one if don't have. Currently both having no tranfer fee (until end 2015). Rates are competitive.

I'm more interested in which property you are buying in M'sia  drool.gif Must be a good deal to buy during this economy climate

QUOTE(Fiona Chin @ Oct 26 2015, 02:09 PM)
Do it through bank like they recommend. DBS and CIMB like got good review that most of the people here recommend it. But you should go through the few banks yourself to check it out. Don't come back kpkb later.

We bought a car for my in-laws in full payment by cash, hand carry back, 12k sgd each time to avoid the declaration, took us 1 month to smuggle the money. Hasil straight come the next month ask for proof of income etc. Very troublesome process. Bought property with cash also recently through bank transfer, Hasil no question ask, I think they do internal investigation with the banks. I used HSBC coz they feed me every month but don't recommend you to.

Thx so much for ur help, i will check with dbs bank.... Last time used cimb before, but due to inactive , the account was closed and charged me service fee , damn angry with cimb

Open a dbs account thought of doing remittance online. But dbs rate is really bad, outside remittance can gv 3.05 while dbs still ard 3.038 to 3.04.

Small amount doesnt matter, but large amount lots of difference.

At the end withdraw money frm dbs and change at atcade
