As you all know that the lowest salary for a foreign with s-pass is S$2200 a month ma, then summore the company have to pay S$500 monthly to the government just to let foreigners to work in their company. So the problem is, this SME that i will be working for in the coming months, will deduct S$500 monthly from my salary. 

If this a normal thing in SG or is it just the SME kiam siap? (for those who wonder, i work in art & design field)

my friend got job offered in sg as engineer.
back in interview stage..expected salary he put 2.5k.At the end of the day, the company offered him somewhere near 3k. he told me Sg got benchmark salary range, so never worried that they gonna low baller u ?
Is that true ?

Open DBS acct, online transfer from OCBC to DBS, then DBS remit to your Malaysia bank (no fees until end of year and rate is very good).

Use DBS or CIMB online remit. Can open one if don't have. Currently both having no tranfer fee (until end 2015). Rates are competitive.

Do it through bank like they recommend. DBS and CIMB like got good review that most of the people here recommend it. But you should go through the few banks yourself to check it out. Don't come back kpkb later.

We bought a car for my in-laws in full payment by cash, hand carry back, 12k sgd each time to avoid the declaration, took us 1 month to smuggle the money. Hasil straight come the next month ask for proof of income etc. Very troublesome process. Bought property with cash also recently through bank transfer, Hasil no question ask, I think they do internal investigation with the banks. I used HSBC coz they feed me every month but don't recommend you to.
