QUOTE(qwertyuioped @ Jan 29 2015, 02:33 AM) Industry? Fresh grad? 2k - 2.2k seems to be fair if you are fresh grad with diploma. If after probation got increment then it's better. However, if the annual leave is only 7 days, then it's a no no.But with 2k, hardly you can save much with average lifestyle. Especially first 2 months, you can't save at all due to your expenses, rental and deposit for rental. |

QUOTE(Mystique_88 @ Feb 26 2015, 09:38 AM) How am I subletting? You rented the whole unit and you sublet the remaining rooms to other people. It is different story if you gather a group of friends who agree to rent the whole unit together and then one of you represent to sign the tenancy agreement and this person responsible for all the consequence i.e. collect deposit/rent from all people and pay the landlord.Whoever takes the room will have their name inserted into the tenancy agreement and has to have their ID lodged with the HDB. I rented a whole HDB, and I am looking for a third person to occupy the empty third room. Since you are renting the whole HDB flat, I suppose you already signed the tenancy agreement with landlord. How are you going to insert the 3rd person's name into the signed tenancy agreement? If any signed document can be amended easily then it's not genuine anymore. |

QUOTE(Mystique_88 @ Feb 26 2015, 01:39 PM) It's pre-agreed with the landlord and stated in a TA that I will be searching for a third person to occupy the third (and currently vacant) room. Yup, it's none of my business. But don't bother to ask for help or post anything if you not providing sufficient information which cause misunderstand later. Did your advertising got deleted? The tenancy is starting in April (as stated) and although it's no business of yours, no, i have yet to sign the TA but I have already paid a first month's deposit and am signing within this week. Either way, I say this for the final time, I am not subletting. |

QUOTE(KiNo123 @ Feb 28 2015, 05:31 PM) no my IPA says nothing about it, and to be worse, at the bottom of the letter it says " this IPA does not grant your stay in the Singapore, once arrival u need to get ur employer to get ur pass ASAP bla bla bla..." That sentence means the IPA is not an permanent pass for you to work in SG, you need to get the actual pass which is after medical report submitted. It does not mean you can't stay in SG with the IPA. You can still stay and work in SG, if police officer stopped you, you can just show the IPA without the need to show white card. Does the IPA state what is the validity? 4 years back after I got my IPA, I went back to Malaysia and custom officer took back the white card. Then when I re-enter SG, I only show the IPA and the officer let me pass (with valid passport of course). Well, it was 4 years ago, I'm not sure whether it's still work. It would be better you call to ICA to clarify. You may try to go JB and let the officer take your white card and re-enter SG shortly after with the IPA. QUOTE(Blues89 @ Mar 9 2015, 08:59 AM) hi guys, i just found a job in sg and will be moving there soon You got the IPA letter? If you do, you may check with the custom officer whether you can use it to enter Singapore. Otherwise, just enter like normal using white card, don't need to specify anything, unless the officer ask you.was wondering what to fill in the white form when i pass the custom?cos i only have the pass which is not fully official since i hvnt done my medical checkup o.o" QUOTE(hihihehe @ Mar 9 2015, 10:19 AM) yeah i know the easier word is kinda vague here but what i meant was a better chance to get a job applying in sg than msia. is kinda hard to travel to sg everytime have an interview unless i can 100% score it It would be more convenient for both you and employer if you stay in SG and apply for job/ go for interview. |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Mar 9 2015, 10:47 AM) You need to budget how long u can last by renting room in SG. Maybe you can opt to rent in JB and go in SG whenever you got interview. That way, the cost will be lesser.QUOTE(Blues89 @ Mar 9 2015, 10:58 AM) yea got d...okay ,ill just ask the officer on the spot ba... :/ But remember to pre-fill the white card also. In case IPA is not acceptable then you no need to re-queue.i get my job in sg just by phone calls lol |

QUOTE(Sky_Q @ Oct 7 2015, 08:51 AM) Guysss...i have a dilemma and need any suggestions that i can get from the seniors here..i m on ep and my wife is on wp...she is pregnant n i understand from her employer that she is cannot get pregnant while on wp else risk to be deported.. As long as your wife does not deliver in Singapore then you are safe. Why? Read below sentence from MOM and understand the first statement, it used "or". Singapore cannot restrict you from pregnant since you are legally married. The last sentence say applies even after work permit is expired, cancelled or revoked, cannot be they disallowed you to get pregnant after your WP expired and went back to Malaysia. So the main point is cannot deliver in Singapore.Anybody encounter this and how to get over this?thanks "Not get pregnant or deliver a child in Singapore during the validity of their Work Permit unless they are already married to a Singapore citizen or permanent resident with the approval of MOM. This applies even after their Work Permit is expired, cancelled or revoked." Your wife don't need to cancel the WP, she can still work and entitled to 8 weeks paid and 4 weeks unpaid Maternity leave as long as she is covered under Employment Act and worked more than 3 months (and does not fall into the "not covered" category"). Below extracted from MOM and refer to below URL for maternity leave: Singapore Maternity Leave Who is covered by the Act? You are covered if you are an employee working under a contract of service with an employer. It covers local and foreign employees. An employee can be employed in the following terms: Full-time Part-time Temporary However, you are not covered if you are employed as a: Manager or executive with monthly basic salary of more than $4,500. Seafarer. Domestic worker. Statutory board employee or civil servant. If you still not convince, then write to MOM and confirm. Their response quite fast. It serves as black and white for future arguments. This post has been edited by almeizer: Oct 7 2015, 04:07 PM |

QUOTE(ghodul @ Oct 22 2015, 12:30 PM) Thanks for the swift response. I have new question. 1. You can use cash but a lot more expensive than card. The card is call EzLink. You can use for MRT, Bus, LRT and Taxi. Even pay for food also can for certain merchandise only.1. The train system at Sg (MRT) is using cash, or some kind of card like Touch n Go? 2. What is the room rent rate for that place? 2. Depend on location, condition/type of the room, package (i.e. include aircond and utilities). It could be from 600 to 1200 per room. |

Anyway, Ezlink card can be bought at any MRT station or 7-11. Price is SGD 12 with SGD 7 value inside.I will go there by plane, from KLIA2 to Changi Airport. The interview location is at Changi South Lane.... QUOTE(phenally @ Oct 23 2015, 02:01 PM) Hi All, Just divide by 3 now. Also include your salary in RM. E.g.
