Hi, again thanks to all who give a lot of great info...
I'd secured a job at Jurong East, International Business Park. Now scouting for a single room which below SGD 550, among Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Merah and Boon Lay, which area do you guys can briefly suggested? Haven't really make a decision yet and going to settle the room problem within 1 day (around November), any comments or thought would be deeply appreciate. Thanks This post has been edited by Kikokent: Sep 29 2015, 05:30 PM |

QUOTE(crazy25kid @ Sep 29 2015, 05:39 PM) Erm, I think I can "tahan" with the distance and bare with the travelling time...haha, I know its not a wise choice but recently I saw a post at ibilik - SGD 550 include PUB and air-con... Then, just put it in the list first (as a last option)... |

QUOTE(Phalanx @ Sep 29 2015, 06:04 PM) If you prefer lesser traveling time - then Boon Lay will be your best option. I'm quite surprised that you can still find $550 or lower for a room in Bukit Merah as the location is quite near to town, best to actually go down and have a look as they may be offering the utilities room (which is so small that you can barely move around after fitting in a small bed). ok then, thanks a lot... |

QUOTE(yrh0413 @ Sep 29 2015, 07:29 PM) AMK way too far from Jurong East, drop this. wow, will start to look for Bukit Batok/ Bukit Gombak/ CCK (Chua Chu Kang) at ibilik tomorrow...Redhill is quite near (3-4 MRT stations from Jurong East), but Redhill is more expensive as its location is nearer to city Boon Lay quite good, alternative consider Bukit Batok/ Bukit Gombak/ CCK. Thanks for the info |

Hi all,
Just want to say thanks for the advise here, I'm manage to find a room one road across Yew Tee Mrt. Well, things happened. My medical report for MOM had already pass and taken, but the eyes checkup for my company 1 need to re-test with spec. Seem like I need to spend a bit more to go Singapore for the spec and eyes checkup, and then come back KL for notice period. lol, just crab abit and really appreciate for the helpful info at here... |

QUOTE(Dagger69 @ Oct 20 2015, 08:10 PM) how much your rental near Yew Tee? I'm interested in that area too because there is a nearby gym few minutes from the MRT. Hi, its an utilities room (Regent Grove condo)...very small, around 7 feets... 480 sgd per month, no agents fee... I'm lucky to meet a very nice house owner, who is very patient and friendly and I think there at least cost 550 and above per month rental ba. |

QUOTE(libragurlshirl @ Oct 20 2015, 04:55 PM) Hi, can advice wats MOM medical test be like? Wat test do they do? Only blood and urine? Any exception they are looking for? Hi, erm...I'm not sure whether I mess up with the test my company assign, urine test, blood test and Chest-X ray for EP is a minimum must... There would be a form from HR specify which test you need to go through, don't worry the procedure is faster than MY government hospital... |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Oct 21 2015, 09:11 PM) No leh nomally MOM require just blood test (for HIV) and Xray (for TB). No urine test leh. Now don't know la. lol, my bad...Not really leh. I think is depend on MOM. MOM will say whether you need to go for the medical check. And any extra than HIV and TB I think is company policy. sorry for the wrong info... |
