QUOTE(ThanatosSwiftfire @ Apr 8 2015, 04:30 PM) Work pass got restrictions getting married if im not mistaken. Does it apply to your gf? I asked my boss (from china), when he come SG he immediately ROM with her wife in Singapore, then he apply PR and success, then after two years he apply Citizen also success as well.(Check www.mom.gov.sg) I think the restrictions will apply to a female under work pass planning to married with PR or SC, i remember my gf receive a letter from MOM and the message is about "married to PR or SC != you will get PR easily" Thanks. QUOTE(crazy25kid @ Apr 8 2015, 04:36 PM) before i think...due to restriction I hope so... Actually my plan is i will apply PR alone then only ROM with my gf, but my future mother-in-law (work in SG over 20 years), she said ROM before apply PR is better, i may attach my spouse into one application and the chance of getting PR is higher, is this true?married couples should be more welcomed to boost birthrate if they convert too. from http://news.asiaone.com/print/News/Latest%...105-381617.html Thanks! QUOTE(Fiona Chin @ Apr 8 2015, 05:18 PM) Nobody can be sure of the answer. Thanks for your opinion Good point of married couple: You are perceived to be more mature, more responsibility and less prone to create trouble. Bad point of married couple for your case: Your wife is a WP. She has restriction by MOM. She may have negative impact and drag you down in your application. A double edge sword. Is it possible i will get PR but my spouse cannot get PR if both of us in the application? Anyone face this kind of case? Frank |

QUOTE(deodorant @ Apr 8 2015, 05:31 PM) Frank3 Check your wife IPA what it says. Not all WP holders have the limitation that cannot marry SC/PR, the more higher educated ones typically there will be a clause to waive that limitation. Thx! Will check it later. So confirmed that no limitation to married non-PR or SC right? Thanks! Frank |

QUOTE(Fiona Chin @ Apr 8 2015, 06:48 PM) If you got PR, your wife still on WP, she would have married a PR, not allowed for WP! Dear FionaCan marry, but cannot get pregnant for WP I think. All these can write in and seek waiver one la. I mean is we ROM first, then i apply PR (apply for spouse as well), will the immigration give me PR only but my wife not? Sorry for confusing as my previous question. Thanks ! Frank |

QUOTE(tampinmy @ May 14 2015, 07:42 PM) Let me tell you a workaround. First, make an appointment for the earliest possible date. Next, on Friday or Monday morning between 7 to 8 am, try amending your appointment, you can find some earlier date because I think the e-appointment server is being refreshed at that time,so it flushes the data so fresh slots are available. Try logging in few times if you don't succeed. I discovered this when I put up in 2012 and it was still the same last year when my friends tried it. Good luck Nice tips, will try everyday morning ! QUOTE(whizwhiz @ Jun 16 2015, 10:37 AM) I am considering looking for a job in Singapore, related to my field which is Environmental Management. You can looking for those Safety or HSE position, quite demanding in Shipping company. My company is hiring HSQE superintendent now.Graduated as a Chemical Engineering but ever since I started working 6 years ago, I have been in the Health Safety Environment department with focus more in Environment for an oil and gas company. Is this something well sought after in Singapore? |
