Hi guys,
I just want to ask is it possible to land a job in Singapore while staying at Malaysia (Sarawak)? Do employers even care to call or contact you if they find out you are currently staying oversea? Or they will conduct the interview through phone or online? Thanks. |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Feb 10 2015, 10:43 PM) I'm from Sarawak and yes it's possible. But if they contact you, looking at your phone number (MY phone number) and address, they'd probably already know that you're probably still residing in M'sia. It depends on the company whether they need you to personally go down to SG for interview. Or maybe some conduct first round through skype. If they ok then ask you to come personally for a second round or so. Alright, thanks. By the way,how long have you been working in Singapore? Did you find your job through Jobstreet? I feel like it's kinda difficult to get a job now in SG since i've submitted countless resume in the past 2 months and no news yet. Mine is conducted through skype only. The company needs ppl so they're ok with hiring just through Skype interview. However... The best is that you can be personally here and attend the physical interview. One who does well in face-to-face interview for sure has higher chance compared to one who got interviewed just through tele conference. Good luck in your job hunting |

Hi guys, Happy CNY. Need to ask for a favor here.
Currently I'm facing this situation. Company A offered me a job and helped me apply for EP, it's approved. However, Company A told me they no longer need to hire new employee. Therefore, they withdrawn my EP application before I started to work there. So now, Company B wanted to offer me a job, they will be applying EP for me again. My question is, will it affect the result of my second EP approval since my first one was withdrawn? Thanks |

QUOTE(kl87 @ Feb 24 2015, 12:19 PM) i assume they have signed the appointment letter with you, only to apply permit for you. They can just withdraw their offer like that ? Is there any compensation given ? No worry, when they withdraw the permit application, i remember they need to fill in a reason of something, i heard from HR, not really sure. So if nothing wrong from their withdrawal, should not affect your 2nd application. By the way, how long does it take for the ep online application status to change into most recent one? I just checked it's still shows "Withdrawn". |

Hi guys, I would like to ask after i got the notification letter and card registration completed, does it mean i can stay in Singapore without deducting my days limit for social visit? This is because they told me that it takes 4-5 working days until the card will be delivered to me. Thank you.
