QUOTE(deodorant @ Feb 20 2015, 09:14 AM) How do you know it's a good deal when tritritri didn't mention his job scope, years of experience, etc? If he's a fresh grad then it's a very good deal, but on the other hand if he already work 10 years and got all sorts of professional qualifications then it sucks. how about 2 years+ exp?QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Feb 20 2015, 09:31 AM) s$4k is a lot wei. Even I > 10 years also dun have that figure. deodorant can't always use himself as benchmark, if not everyone sure fail. r u converting from sgd to myr? else 10years plus should get around 10k+ atleast? |

Jangan tertipu by MacKiddo, he is senior manyzer in Oil & Gas, you sendiri estimate lah what is his income level Anyway let's get some perspective ... SG median household income is $7.8k. So assuming you earn $4k and someone else in your same house earn $4k then both of you are already higher earning level than >50% of the population. Having said that, go check salary surveys ba: http://www.robertwalters.com.sg/career-adv...ary-survey.html QUOTE(poor_engineer @ Feb 20 2015, 12:32 PM) $4K including cpf, does that mean if one day you get the PR then you need to contribute back to the cpf from your own salary. That will be 36% pay cut Don't want give money to PAP then don't apply PR lo |

QUOTE(tritritri @ Feb 19 2015, 08:27 PM) Got an offer after the cpf compensation ard 4k, not sure if I can survive there..haha 4k is the MOM's median pay last year. Better of than 50% of the population in Singapore. Of coz MOM doesn't capture expats' pay like Deodorant's 5 digits pay with 6 digits allowance making policy controlling SG's financial industry and Mackiddo's classified x digits salary in the black gold market. Those are outliers and ignore din the stats to make the population happy. Most of us just around 2+... and have a satisfied life.Im estimating abt sgd800 for accommodation(including utilities). is it possible or I need to up my budget? |

QUOTE(megadisc @ Feb 21 2015, 08:53 AM) emmm....they take the time to call your referees ??? I suppose it depends on industry, job role and/or company size. For example, banks nowadays it's pretty much standard procedure to engage third-party background check vendors to vet through the accuracy of your CV. They'll check that your qualifications are correct, call up / email HR to check on your work experience, etc. |

QUOTE(megadisc @ Feb 21 2015, 08:53 AM) If you put in Mr. Chap Ba Lang or Ms. Don't Know Who then save it lo. Need to put in some one similar level with the hiring manager 1-2 steps higher. Best is you get someone your hiring manager look up to and the guy would entertain reference calls. If companies call for reference of ex employees, SOP answer, write in to HR to request officially, then in the end give you some template say thing employee work from when till when, standard reply on performance those kind of thing. |

Hi guys, Happy CNY. Need to ask for a favor here.
Currently I'm facing this situation. Company A offered me a job and helped me apply for EP, it's approved. However, Company A told me they no longer need to hire new employee. Therefore, they withdrawn my EP application before I started to work there. So now, Company B wanted to offer me a job, they will be applying EP for me again. My question is, will it affect the result of my second EP approval since my first one was withdrawn? Thanks |
