QUOTE(babykon101 @ Jan 19 2015, 01:04 PM) Guys. How much is considered high working in SG? Compensation wise is pretty clear cut isn't it...I believe there is some difference between how much fresh grad is getting paid in Msia and SG. Let's say, if you have 1.5 years experience, Msia offering RM4800, SG offering (3600, no cpf so +632 = total 4232sgd), which one to go for? malaysia = IT operations work, permanent staff SG = SAP implementation work, permanent staff + chance to travel. |

Do all companies pay CPF for non PR staff? More specifically, do accounting firms do that?
The CPF portion would help so much in terms of rental. |

Now I'm not sure of that, I saw it in the offer letter and I assume that as Non-PR will not get CPF anymore (under Singapore law), so by law too, they have to pay the CPF portion and this extends to all other companies as well. Googling turns out nothing. The CPF portion would help so much in terms of rental. |

QUOTE(allornothing @ Jan 20 2015, 09:56 AM) Do all companies pay CPF for non PR staff? More specifically, do accounting firms do that? Most companies do not pay the cpf portion (in cash) to non pr. However last I heard is big 4 do give non pr the additional 17% in cash. Not sure about smaller accounting firmsThe CPF portion would help so much in terms of rental. QUOTE(titarium @ Jan 19 2015, 04:04 PM) PR must be renew every 5 years - it is just like you r driving license , you still hold the same driving license just that your eligibility on the road extends another 3- 5 years. It's actually your Re-Entry Permit that needs to be renewed every 5 years. Not your PR... which is evergreen, as long as you don't leave Singapore without a valid Re-Entry Permit (REP).As for the "basic T&C" to renew REPs,... with eREP (instant online renewal), I'm not so sure that each REP renewal is scrutinised anymore. |

PR PMEs get higher monthly income than Singapore citizens: Manpower Minister SINGAPORE: The gross monthly income of full-timed employed residents who are professionals, managers and executives (PMEs) is higher compared to Singaporean citizens, said Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin in Parliament on Monday (Jan 19). "As compared to Singaporean PMEs, the gross monthly income of resident PMEs is higher since Permanent Residents typically have to display good employability before they are granted residency," Mr Tan said, in reply to a Parliamentary question from MP Patrick Tay Teck Guan. For instance, the gross monthly income for PRs and Singapore citizens for the 50th percentile is S$7,018 and S$6,886, respectively, according to data from the Manpower Ministry. ![]() This post has been edited by alaskanbunny: Jan 20 2015, 04:33 PM |
