QUOTE(HenDa @ Jan 15 2015, 02:55 AM) I am using Citibank and can transfer between my SG and MSIA account instantly. How about charges? As for rate, CIMB is always better compare to Citi I just done my transaction at CIMB. Show on screen 2.667 but system shows 2.664X. Doesn't matter la just 3/10 cent difference. Charge is really just $5. After considering that $5, the rate for changing 2000 is just 2.57XX which is good enough. Best rate for cash vs this service at 2000SGD just RM21 difference. Better safe than sorry haha. 2000 should be enough for CNY eh QUOTE(madspeed02 @ Jan 15 2015, 01:37 PM) Keep looking only lo... Nothing else you can do. SG government pressing employees to hire Singaporeans. What can you do? Haha |

QUOTE(Eisenmeteor @ Jan 15 2015, 03:04 PM) Same but ive finally got selected for 1st interview at one of the banks there. Anyway for bank interview, do we need to wear a suit or the tie and shirt combi would suffice? generally, if u are not applying for a high ranking post, suit should not be required.other than that, long sleeves with slacks and leather shoes would be best tie if u wan to look more professional. |

QUOTE(cherryl9 @ Jan 14 2015, 11:05 PM) thank you for your reply Iwan. Just was wondering, if i have a PR, and if i renounce it, say after 3 years, can i still work in singapore under a work pass? Why are you applying PR in the first place ? because everyone beside you is applying ? QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Jan 15 2015, 03:17 PM) How about charges? I thought CIMB is free ? QUOTE(LiangZhuge @ Jan 15 2015, 04:13 PM) Why are you applying PR in the first place ? because everyone beside you is applying ? I do it at their currency exchange counter. I don't have both cimb SG/my account. I see their rate is quite good mah... And for 2000 extra charge just $5. Overall exchange rate should be slightly higher than remittance service outside after factoring in the higher exchange rate and the normally $10 extra charge. That's for 2000sgd la. Higher amount then other remittance service will be more worth. I thought CIMB is free ? What is this $5 fee for ? But I'm not sure yet la. Need wait receive the money in my Maybank M'sia only know how much I actually get there. Counter lady told me is the exact amount in MYR la but who knows? |

If you are interviewing for a role that need to "meet people" (e.g. clients, associates, etc) then dress up. for back office i.e. ops, tech, etc shirt/tie/pants can liao. |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Jan 14 2015, 10:43 PM) 550 in fact is good deal! I hope you get your desired room! I suppose Tiong Bahru, Redhill and Clement are considered as prime areas hence the higher rent. Now got one room, 2km from nearest MRT but can take bus to MRT, middle of EW line. 650 aircond wifi. Another nearer to MRT but also $650 still not sure got wifi/ac or not Aircond still ok... Got aircond also I on 1-2 hours only each day. Only sometimes sleep till forgot to off then very cold wake up off In fact I care more about WiFi Other rooms near Tiong Bahru, Redhill, Clementi etc want find 650 without AC also hard. Seriously expensive 600-700 got what? Actually after going through the room rental sites, I almost come to think that... Places near East coast (eunos/bedok/paya lebar etc) actually easily as expensive as those towards the West (clementi, redhill, tiong bahru etc)... It's like on average, Singapore room rental is already at that level Unless go up north maybe can get 450 500 like that. Towards the south all so bloody expensive |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Jan 15 2015, 10:24 PM) Have you considered Bendemeer area such as Towner, St George's & Boon Keng? I stayed in St George's area $700 per month. Ulu place like Punggol is $650 near MRT/LRT station. Might as well top up $50 to stay near Central area (aircond + wifi). Hawker centre and Value $/Good Price are just 5 minutes walk. Hi guys, actually, once we become a PR, it is considered as a permanent thing unless we renounce it (which means i will have to leave Singapore?) I am confused, because i have heard of "renewing" PR instead? What is this renewal thing? If i don't renew, that means i am renouncing?
Also, can i withdraw my application after i have applied? This post has been edited by cherryl9: Jan 16 2015, 06:42 AM |
