Got pay one?
Sorry lor not sgd10k a month.
Yep agree with u.

Learn to see cup is half full at every situation lo. Envy those people who earn 10k lo at least they don't have so much debt. Last time I used to owe banks 1-2 million of sgd. Stress leh.

Simple life after work go home in mrt, 2 sgd can reach already then swipe phone inside, walk 10 mins then reach home, lift direct to the door, no need to clean so much.

Now have to drive a freaking big car home. Pay car park pay erp, reach home see the garden so many fallen leaves then nea say breeding mosquito, inside liao still need to climb 2 flight of stairs to bedroom. Weekend more jia lat whole house u have to clean. U do a small renovation like add one more room paint here paint there, 300k cannot run.

Hahah once u get used to a certain standard of living it is hard to downgrade. Not like u ma, stay in gcb wink.gif

GCB only for sinkie. Bill gate come buy also no need ask. The one I staying is kind of like the atap house type in Sabah.

Just giving example. Must learn to adapt ma. I can kpkb why the house so small, rain time water leak some more. People stay GCB land plot 20k sq ft minimum, those Sentosa Cove yatch parked at backyard, go out got driver one. Or I can be grateful with what I have lo then be syukur lo. Those in HDB taking MRT one at least still got roof over food on plate la. Much better than those on the street already. Syukur masih healthy at least thumbup.gif .

honestly other than speeding there is nothing I enjoy driving in Malaysia...

... and I just checked-in my car into the service center this morning, some warning lights on my dash after I ran through a pothole at high speed at Tebrau over the weekend.  doh.gif
*
Back home at my state we drive 4WD in our pathetic mud road, ran through pothole no problem. Should try it one day.

SG drivers are awful. They bang into my old car twice side and back since I come here. So pity those little Japanese car after they whack into a German car. Crumple like Kancil. Lucky the driver and passenger still alive so we can claim insurance from them. Bought a bigger German car to make sure they won't survive the next time they anyhow cut lane.

You don't fit the typical profile of a LYN forummer in the "working in Singapore" thread i.e. someone who is either fresh on board in Singapore or is still in the early stages of their careers.  I suppose you are married to a wealthy man and you come from a well to do family yourself.
*
3. I studied and worked hard. I earn more than most men in this thread. I don't fit in the typical man earn more than woman profile. Still in my early 30s I think I could fit in the early stage of my career. Inherited some peanuts yes, but also gathered some small coins with my own effort rclxm9.gif .

Local always complain FT know nothing one but get a good job. There, I one example of those FT lo. Decoupling very troublesome. One day your spouse find a small 3 then you are poor. Everything must joint one, 50% 50% share, no so stupid now for ladies.

Translated it in Google translate, that's sad news indeed. Insurance is important. Hey, assuming that newbies like me is going to work in Sg, will it be a good idea to up my insurance coverage/premium in Malaysia?

Or, I'll get another personal insurance in Sg? What do you guys usually do?

Before that, does insurance company in Sg covers foreign workers? I do know that my new company is going to provide insurance. HR will brief me when I start my first day.
*
Your company will cover some basic part for you. It would not be a big sum for most of the case. Always good to have some personal one in case you got retrench, jobless and stuff.

You need to ask your MY agents if yours cover what you want to do in SG or not.

SG insurance agent need to go through with you a whole lot of financial survey before you can purchase one. Just answer honestly. They need to obtain MAS approval before you can buy the plan from them. Prevent you from over committing and prevent agents from anyhow sell anything to you. Be careful those agents setting up booth on the street one. Get recommendation from friend better.

Maybe you too loaded and good record with MAS. We bought one for my new born recently, ask few hours of questions, need so many documents. The agent say is SOP, if not MAS won't approve. Money laundering and stuff.
