From what i understand you need to have the number of days in SG in order for you to eligible to renew your PR. Not so sure about that. unsure.gif

Not written down officially for SG. The people I know still fly into SG sometimes for transits and short stays. No problem so far unless new criteria come out.

Congratulations. It means your job is quite easy lar. Jealous only. smile.gif

By the way, do you need to access to your company email outside of office hours? Do you do that thru your PC or smartphone? Or, do your colleagues message you directly on your phone? Do you not feel stressed by all these?

In my previous job, I don't have to worry at all of my company email outside of office hours. But now - it's a different story.  shakehead.gif

If working hour 24/7 then I will access work mail and answer calls at home. If 9-6, off company phone the minute I start my car. You need to know when is work when is life. Once they get mixed up you end up having half of each.

White > Blue.
6 figure pay cheque white > 5 figure white > 4 figure white.
Power > Money > Fame.
GCB > Bungalow > Terrace > Penthouse > Condo > HDB > Unit rental > Room rental > JB daily.
Rolls Royce > Lamborghini > BMW > Honda > Bike > Cab > MRT/Bus.
Fist Class > Business > Economy Premium > Economy > Budget Airline.
And for the upcoming event,
Votes > Ministers > Voters > Ministers > Voters > Ministers > Voters.

Pick your spots. There is always someone looking down on your whether they say it out or not. The lower pyramid seems to be more outspoken at who they look down at.

Need some help on transferring bulk of money from Msia to SG. What's the best way? TT, bank draft?
*
Best rate is to do it by cash, risk of getting mug or stolen. If you bring in RM cash you need the James Bond bag like those in God of Gambler. Remember to declare it when entering Singapore.

Convenient way is to do it by TT or bank draft but lousy rate. For the riches.

Sadly that align with info I gathered so far. TT/bank draft lousy rates... Thanks Fiona jie

Trade it with your friends lo. Most of the people here would want to transfer SGD to MYR back home, and you are the other way round. Just meet up with a laptop and do it in person, while having a parang in the bag in case anything goes wrong.

Actually on a recent business trip to the red dot, I am quite astounded that I met alot of Malaysians who cannot speak a proper sentence in english and/or malay or understand english or malay without asking for clarification in mandarin and yet claimed that they graduated from local university in malaysia. Is the standards these days really that bad? No wonder Singaporeans look down on Malaysians.

Now is China world, speak inklish no use, speak cina is gooder.

I second that. Even though I am from JB and watch SG drama since young, those taxi driver still can differentiate my accent..
maybe due to the usage of words? biggrin.gif
*
East Malaysian can differentiate West Malaysian from the way they talk, even though we study under the same best education system in the world. The North should be able to differentiate the Southerners too?

When comparing two different countries, it is even easier to differentiate them. The way they talk, look, dress. Last time they can even differentiate Jurong people with the city folks. You say they know its Malaysian or not?

When earning 10 times of your basic, people still need to monitor their monthly budget. Better start the habit early.

Its best to maintain the frugal lifestyle. Earn 1 dollar spend 1 dollar is same as earn 10 dollar and spend 10 dollar in the end.

Hi sifus! got question here.

As you all know that the lowest salary for a foreign with s-pass is S$2200 a month ma, then summore the company have to pay S$500 monthly to the government just to let foreigners to work in their company. So the problem is, this SME that i will be working for in the coming months, will deduct S$500 monthly from my salary.  sweat.gif

If this a normal thing in SG or is it just the SME kiam siap? (for those who wonder, i work in art & design field)

This wrong in law. Cannot do. If you take, you can get charged as accomplice for cheating together go Changi prison sit. Don't take job, or take job as undercover, 1 month later then report to gahmen with proof, get good FT medal.

2nd Gen PR IS LIABLE for NS.
However, there are some exemption rules which is not exactly stated in black and white.
I am exempted from NS probably because I am too old and I contribute to the country better through working and paying income tax.
*
1st Gen also can get. Not sure what's the name, but under student scheme, offer PR during secondary or JC, you get cheaper uni fee in return and no need join the FT horde for PR after graduate.

Degree in Internal Business, and from Segi (KL) branch..

Lol..that link like doesn't help much. Do you know any private college or education in Singapore?
*
You want to teach college with a degree? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Segi some more, it look like a A-level standard to Singapore with all the world top uni graduates concentrating in this island. Aim for primary school aka the MOE link, even for that you would have a hard time getting accepted. 1st class is of no use here, especially from Malaysia private uni.

QUOTE(boarulez @ Aug 17 2015, 10:40 AM)
Hi guys, maybe this is a little out of topic but I want to get more opinions .
My wife is working at sg (PR) for 10 years and I'm working in Malaysia with a small business of my own ( got car got house ) but due to weakening Ringgit makes our money really tiny overseas . Moreover crime , dirty politics , lawlessness makes me really Wana consider leaving this country for my future kids.
If you guys in my situation , will you leave this country for your kids or just remain in Malaysia ?
*
You decide la your own family, head of family biggrin.gif . Here also many problems. Grass next door not always greener. Your wife should know locals' problem very well after 10 years. Then discuss weight pro and cons, good and bad. My parents shifted their money and daughters here long time ago. Currently enjoying it as 2nd generation spoil kid. Would say its good they moved, but gooder they kept their Malaysia IC so we can run to and fro if either country screw up.
