I googled and found that it says if u courier stuff from Sg to Msia, your items will get held up at customs for one month at least. Is this true?

If gonna be held up, might as well take bus to Johor and use poslaju.

by law, you are not suppose to have 2 license. when you convert your license, your MY license will be blacklisted. And there is no advantage of holding both license. I involve in accident before in KL using my SG license. No issue with Insurance claim as well. The only benefit is when you kena road block in Malaysia, if you show them SG license, be prepare to pay kopi in SGD. thats all.

regarding salary payment in singapore,

- If you work 183 days or more in a calendar year you are a tax resident and pay the same progressive tax rates as locals.
- If you work less than 183 days you are not a tax resident and pay flat 15% tax or progressive tax rates as locals (whichever is higher). However the following year if your employment spills over into exceeding 183 days you can request IRAS to re-assess you as a tax resident and refund you the difference in tax paid.

If i just started to work in singapore, for example 3k SGD.

1. is there any other deductions foresee? levy fee or tax (annual or monthly?)
2. if i start to work in may 2015, so in 2015 years i will be a tax resident and pay progressive tax rate?

Looks like I need to renew one year only, since no longer Malaysia license is valid (being suspended when I get my SG license).No intention to have two licenses.

heloo people, how long did it takes you guys to get a reply to work in spore from employers? its been 2 months and no reply :S pifff kind of demotivating. plus the stiff competition @ jobstreet.

imho, use multiple job search engines...it's easy to get reply..most of the time they will thank you for your application and ask you to wait for news

for the real reply, it depends...example, my fren got into a yellow courier company, she apply thru job agency, start working within 2-3 weeks...while i am still sitting in front of my pc in KL..

Who are you? There's no law that an employer shall reply to you after you sending the resume.

consider yourself lucky. i was bothered by several job offers and upon their knowledge that i was offered higher package, they outbid for higher value. i end up like COE. kiasu companies... really hate this
