I heard that E&Y Audit is adopting the 'closed door' policy, whereby they are currently not open for applications unless via 'backdoor'. Is this rumour true? If so, is it a permanent one or a temporary one?

QUOTE(SP1R1T @ Oct 1 2010, 12:37 PM) I am so fed up in applying Big4, I am quit, and I feel regret to take double majors in accounting & banking and finance from Monash. Graduated and like no difference from local U or should I say ACCA. People holding ACCA @ 20 years old already work in Big4, and I am already more than that still unemployed after graduated, months. Results weren't those top class students but credit average and my ECA is definitely much better than average. So desperate. Consult here and there, new hope, vanished, new hope, vanished again. Frankly, no attitude problem, be humble and smile while interviewing, can speak fluent english, lack of what? I am not like those article saying spoon feed fresh grades demand this and demand that. What you lack of is patience. While your status is unemployed, perhaps you may try to take some professional course to enhance your CV? Hmm... Monash U, a favourite for EY.A month being unemployed = A month experience loss out compared with others in the same field. |

QUOTE(Garfie @ Nov 20 2010, 12:23 PM) first of all, if you want to work for PwC, better be sure about the spelling. Usually it is hard for new joiners to be allocated to new sections. For most of the joiners, they need to be at least equipped with one year experience to do the Deferred Tax Section.secondly, yes these are considered several sections that new associates do start with. however, no one is stopping you with your own initiative of asking your senior 'can I try and do other sections?'. its all about your initiative, if you don't speak up, then you just can't put the blame on your senior for assiging you such tasks. hope that dua sen helps Most of the time, when you ask the senior 'can I try and do other sections?', then probably they will ask you back "if you don't do the vouching for this section, so you are expecting me to do the vouching?". I've tried it few times already, and this is more like stepping the tail of your seniors. So, really have to pandai2. |
