Hi I'm an Accounting & Finance student who is in my final year and going to start my last semester in feb. I plan to work as an AA when I grad around May/June. Sorry I'm kinda new to LYN and just wanna ask some advices from the seniors or anyone who is kind enough to give me their 2 cents 1st question: If i grad, does it make a difference (salary wise) if i work in one of the Big 4s as an Accounting & Finance grad instead of an ACCA grad? 2nd question: If i plan to work there 2-3 years just as a stepping stone for my career, do u think it's necessary to pursue my ACCA so that when i join other companies, it's easier for me to get into a managerial position or something? Sorry if u think these are stupid questions cos I'm kind of a noobie here hehe. Thanks!

QUOTE(skyhigh73 @ Oct 27 2009, 02:24 PM) Does any of the big 4 take in fresh grads to their advisory line? pls share your insights in this field ^^ What kinda advisory line r u talking about? There's corporate finance, reorganization, transaction services etc. Yes, they do take in fresh grads occasionally but they prefer to hire experienced people especially in audit. I don't think you may want to commit yourself to this field unless you really want to and already know what you're getting into because it's a VERY specialized field. If I were you I'd definitely get some good audit/tax experience first to expand your horizons while you're still young
