I was called by EY to attend an interview for audit associate....is there any assessment test i need to go through as the email i received from EY did not mention any assessment test, it juz mentions that i have an interview session with XXX....

and, any EY staff here can gv any suggestion for the interview session? what type of question they usually asked? i think "tell me bout urself" is a must, right? do i need to prepare for the FRS question?

No assessment whatsoever, that Mr/Mrs XXX will most likely be your manager. Just be yourself lo.

thanks, coz currently i'm working wif other Big 4 (name it as Big A here), i'm worrying that the manager will ask y i wan to leave Big A and choose EY? and the question i most worry is "why choose EY but not other big 3?".... sweat.gif

currently working in audit support (process and IT audit) with Big A, plan to change to finance audit since i found that i totally no interest in process and IT audit coz it is too technical for me... i think i have better knowledge in financial reporting and auditing... tongue.gif

If you are someone who like routine, meticulous by nature, you don't mind going to the same office everyday and see the same faces, then tax might suit you.

I won't say that tax is "easier" or "less work than audit".  Both have different challenges. But you will have a more routine schedule compared to your audit counterparts, and also have more control over your social life to a certain extent.

Try KPMG and PWC, they keep trying to get people into Tax.
CKJ, how is the opportunities like in Tax? My interviewer was really passionate about it, she talked a lot about how it was more value-adding than Audit haha. But then again a lot of people talk about going to Audit for future opportunities outside the big4, like financial controller. What about Tax then? @_@

Tax may go for tax manager or working with IRB or some other thing related to tax...or u may stay in the accounting firm and become tax partner.... tongue.gif

Dear all,

I had sent my application for a position with PwC through their online application last week. PwC response to me through 1 of the channels saying there will be a PwC recruiter contact me. But until now there is no any update, should i call PwC to ask for the status or should I wait longer?

Thanks...
