How much u bought the new HRAP 5?

Over RM600, mine is the standard red version, not the "silent" type. Still haven't opened it, brand new in box. Will try out the HRAP 3 SA first, and if it works well, will probably sell one of them. I have another entry level PS3 Hori stick I might wanna let go of, hopefully it works with SF5 too.

great news for me i will delay buying a new adapter until kof 14 or tekken 7 come out without old ps3 stick support.

& if u have plan to get another one soon then u can take Madcatz one...but remember itz PS3 only so u'll be able to play SFV on PS4 using this one only, other games like Blazblue, MKX, Guilty Gear on PS4 wont work using Madcatz one....but Hori mini got full PS4 support

Got. Currently got 2 converter support PS4

1 is Brook PS4 converter, a very good a simple, just plug in, n u good to go. Main problem is whenever PS4 got update, u need to update your converter, but their update was fast also. maybe delay 1 day?

2 is CronusMax plus, this is a very powerful converter, but the main problem for it....u need a USB 4 port hub, 1st for PS3 (or any console's controller), the last port for PS4 controller plug in. Why doing this, is to bypass the SONY 8 mins time out problem, but u can use the converter without a USB hub, just....each 8~10mins the PS4 will reset your controller, even know Cronusmax say that it will be fast like 1~2sec n will reconnect back....but for us FTG, that 1~2 sec delay or not working...will cause u eat combo.... hehehe
if u want this one, Heavyarms r selling them around Rm2xx.

That's for the recommendation. I don't really understand why SONY keeps on disabling previous generations of peripherals to work on the PS4? It is like forcing players to buy a whole new set of peripherals for every new console generations.

major correction @ the bolded. CronusMax plus does not have this issue. You're actually referring to the older non plus model.

the current one just needs to be plugged into the console directly and your older peripherals will work

source: bought one myself from PA and the SFxTekken stick(a PS3 stick) that came with the package works without any disconnections on my ps4 and xbox one.

So What’s the big deal?

You may be wondering why we’re making such a big noise about this new feature, but believe us when we say this is a game changer for the CronusMAX PLUS, and anyone who is already a user of our product and has a PlayStation 4 will definitely agree.

Basically, the PlayStation 4 has a security check in place for controllers where it detects to see if an original Dualshock 4 controller is connected. If it finds that it’s not there it will shut down communication between the console and the controller. We had a workaround called PS4 Partial Cross Over Support where if you were using a non-Dualshock 4 controller (Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, WiiMote or Wii U Pro), the connection would automatically reset every 10 minutes, or you could run a GPC script where you could manually reset the timer yourself. Unfortunately this created two problems. The first problem was that it created a disconnection between the controller and console during gameplay that lasted around a second. We tried to minimize this to be as unobtrusive as possible, however some games had a more negative impact than others and it was at best an inconvenience and at worst made certain games completely unplayable for some gamers, particularly those who were serious about fighting games or first person shooters. The second problem had more of a dramatic effect with professional tournaments – if there was a second player, when the authorization timer reset for the first player, the second players profile kicked them out of the game and to the profile selection screen on the main menu – forcing the game to stop and the player would have to select his/her profile to continue – and this would happen every 10 minutes. Not good.

Thanks to our talented team of engineers, all of these problems are now finally solved. Our goal was to make the process of authentication as seamless and as simple as possible. The challenge was to re-engineer the firmware so that we didn’t have to manufacture a custom add-on, causing further delays and unnecessary extra expense to our customers – so all this requires is a simple firmware update and the only extra hardware you need is a cheap, off-the-shelf USB hub, and most of you will already have one in your home or office. We’ve tested many and found that any decent quality 4 port USB 2.0 hub will work perfectly fine. It doesn’t need to be expensive and it doesn’t need to be powered or anything fancy. We will of course come up with a list of recommended hubs for you to purchase and we will make sure our store is stocked with a recommended brand too.
