Hi! I've just graduated from UTAR in Chemical Engineering with decent result, 22 years old at present. I would like to join oil and gas sector and preferably offshore.

I am wondering should I continue my master degree in petroleum engineering (2 years) or directly venture into the working world to gain relevant working experience which might be helpful in helping to step in oil and gas sector.

This is because i'm not sure whether the paper qualification or the additional 2 years of working experiences can help me much in term of working in oil and gas sector later. Sincerely, I wish to hear some advice from the public. cry.gif

If continue master degree, should I go UTP or UTM? I prefer to take master in petroleum engineering by coursework. Luckily, I'm financially sustainable locally for the master degree, so cost is not an element to be considered.

I would also like to know which uni is better in term of its employability in oil and gas company, UTP or UTM?

Thank you very much. rclxms.gif
